For some perspective of the URI women's average home attendance of 1,435, this is how it compares to some A-10 Men's programs YTD averages.

A-10 Men's Basketball 2022-23 YTD Average Home Attendance
Fordham 989
LaSalle 1,435
GW 1,477
St Joe's 1,498

Fordham's gym capacity was reduced from 3,200 to 1,808 due to ongoing construction in an adjacent building. The now 23-6 Fordham Rams (best record ever in its over 30 years in the A-10) still only managed to fill roughly half the seats for the season in their reduced capacity gym.

The URI marketing team did a great job this year. Hopefully, the uptick in attendance will continue next year. Nothing like a winning program and a fantastic coach to put butts in the seats. Well done Rhody.

Is that 3800 for Hartford a misprint?

That was the annual school kids game. It was played at 11am on a Wednesday so that local schools, provided with free tickets, could bus the kids to the game as a field trip.

Not an annual game, this was the 1st time they have done this. I was there and saw the many, many busses.
There were no tickets scanned, people just walked in. The 3,800 was an estimated number.
But I would concur the 3,800 seemed accurate.

It may not have been played in recent years due to Covid but it most certainly occurred in previous years.

They never advertised the game like this season, never had the busses of this season. Tammi and staff really pushed and promoted this game to end up being a tremendously successful event.

These ladies are easily the best game in town. The program deserves to have at least 2,000 attendees per game next year.

I would have to think there were a lot of busses back in 2020 to get kids there for a Wednesday 11am game that had crowd of 3,037.
