URI FOOTBALL FANS(UPDATE WEEK 9):
Last week we beat Monmouth in dramatic fashion. As you will see, the forecast stats guys didn't like that it took us 7 overtimes.
This week is our last regular season "true" test against William & Mary. They are the 3rd best team in the conference(Delaware and Richmond are better). They have the 15th best offense in the country vs us at #35. Their defense comes in at #33 vs our #47. It's going to be tough playing in front of over 12,000 vs 5,500 at home.
We moved from #155 out of 261(all D1 A or D1AA) down to #156. We stay at 4th in our conference. We move from #19 to #17 in the FCS Coaches pole. But we really move from #30 back down to #32(Sagarin). Sagarin Ratings are a better league and national indicator.

As of today these are the forecasted results for the season:
1-Sep at Stony Brook win by 1 (Won by 21)
10-Sep at Bryant win by 12 (Won by 14)
17-Sep Delaware #11 lose by 4 (Lost by 21)
24-Sep at Pitt lose by 34 (Lost by 21)
1-Oct Brown win by 11 (won by 28)
15-Oct Elon win by 2 (won by 7)
22-Oct at Monmouth win by 5 (won by 2)
29-Oct at William & Mary #12 lose by 5
5-Nov Maine win by 15
12-Nov at UNH win by 2 (could be another test)
19-Nov Albany win by 14

These are only forecasts of the outcomes that SHOULD happen. As a proud URI football Alum I hope we WIN them all.
As you can see we should win 8 games. This will beat our best record over the last 20 years of 7-4 in 2021. The numbers will change and I will update each week as we start to get the respect we deserve. I say we win at least 8 as we continue to build a competitive program. Could we get to the FCS postseason for the first time since 1985?.....I think we can.

Well I mean Kasim just drove it 99 yards with a clutch TD pass and last week he won the game on a 2 pt conversion. Can't really fault them there. But maybe a wildcat run with DeShields would have been better.

Leonard is super consistent. Should be playing at Salve. His back up is equally bad.
I have been complaining about the kickers all season and particularly yesterday. Sure enough, came back to bite them.
Don't have much of a problem with them going for the two to win on the road. Particularly if it meant putting the kicker back on field as the alternative. Play call was Meh though. W& M ran for 300 yards @ 7 per?? Would have alternated some LBs out there. They had tough day.
Those missed FG's and 300 yards were killers. If you ran analytics be tough to win with those i bet.

Kicker is atrocious. FGs under 40 have to be gimmes at this level. 1 of them wasn’t even close. The one at end of first half was especially detrimental as going with a 3 pt lead and getting the ball back would have provided a lift.

Agree with going for it every time in that situation. Esp with the 2 pt conversion format.
