This will be an interesting game. Bryant lost 38-37 on the road to weak FBS Florida International. Even though FIU is a weak FBS member, they are still FBS and Bryant was restricted to less than the maximum number of FCS scholarships as of last year per Northeast Conference rules.

Bryant was up 16-0 in the 1stQ
FIU kicked a FG to tie the game as time expired in the 4th Quarter.

In OT Bryant scored 1st and converted the extra point to go up 37-30.
FIU was 4th down and 4 yards to go from the 5 yard line and they converted for the TD to make it 37-36.

FIU went for 2 and converted on a pass to win 38-37.

Bryant Gave the game away.

If you haven't gotten tickets to this one, there are 2 different general admissions. If you go directly through Bryant there is a $15 general admission ticket which apparently is general admission on the home side. If you go through the URI away game portal, there's a $10 general admission ticket for the URI sideline. Ignore where it says $15 on the URI site

Bryant was restricted to 45 scholarships in previous seasons due to Northeast Conference regulations. I wonder if they have increased their scholarship limit this season as they are in the Big South. The FCS limit is 63.

Zevi Eckhaus, Bryant's starting sophomore QB, was inserted into last year's URI game at the end of the first half after grad transfer Gage Moloney went down with an ankle injury. Eckhaus than had a record breaking season and was one of the best freshman QBs in the country.
It's unclear why Eckhaus and Moloney were platooning in the FIorida International game. I wonder if this will be the case in the URI game.

So this game (Bryant/URI) is on ESPN+- which is not quite as bad as Flosports. I miss the days when Comcast would feature a few CAA games each week and you could find them easily with standard audio and camera angles. I get it, streaming services are the wave of the future for live sports. However, seems the CAA took a low ball offer with their current TV contract. Not as much exposure with Flosports. Here is to the entire conference going FBS in the near future! Cheers!

Our win over Stony Brook was probably the most impressive win I can remember us having.

We beat a solid conference foe 35-14 on the road.

I (hope) I agree. Watching the Stony Brook game, I won't lie, a small part of me was thinking oh man, here we go. They put together a solid opening drive, and then we struggled to keep Hill up right. Fortunately it appears to be us working out the first game kinks, because after that we completely dominated, especially in the second half.

Exactly. The game notes came out yesterday at noon and he wasn't listed in the 2 deep anymore. Pretty sure there were no state secrets being released and Bryant knew at the same time or sooner than most of the people on the board

Alvarado had no stats in the Stony Brook game so not sure when he got hurt. Was it during this game BigBlueDog?

He was not a starter and was listed in the 2-deep for Stony Brook as a possibility (or) Jarrett Martin. Martin had 1 tackle playing in a reserve role. Gave Salomons is the starter.

Tough break for the young man and I’m hoping a speedy recovery but I’m guessing this isn’t going to slow down the Rams defense. I predict a very tough game for the Rams, but the Rams have a now battle tested good/excellent QB a solid o-line, running game and solid defense and if they play like they did in the second half of the Stoney Brook game they will win. I would like to see what others predict, but I’m going with Rhody 35 Bryant 21.
