I am at the game, as is SteveG

Ran into Paul Kenyon in the hallway on the way in. Paul said Bona has been staying in Newport (where there is no electric power) and supposedly Bona has not had hot food in 24 hours

Very sparse crowd at 6:55pm

The students have filled in some seats here and there, so I imagine the number will be somewhere between 500 and 1,000 when all is said and done.

The game is not televised tonight - crews couldn't get here because of the blizzard. The radio broadcast is up, I believe - I saw Steve McDonald earlier.

someone was supposed to be coming to plow by my house today, but never ended up making it. my snowblower wouldnt make it through the 4 foot high 4 foot wide block of ice the plows left at the top of my driveway. I hate living 10 minutes drive from campus and not being able to make it there.

From the sound of it, seems that Powell and Aaman are both having a great first half.

Drawing inferences from the box score and SGreenwell's patch, seems as though Rhody has played fairly well with the exception of turnovers which are plaguing both teams. Wonder if the weather situation is impacting Bonnies....

Pretty much. URI has been a smidge better, but both teams have been sloppy. Both have 10 turnovers.

Found it on AM. Was looking at 101.5.
Munford with 13 and Aaman with 8.
Six point halftime lead.
Lets see how the begin the half.

Another slow start to the 2nd half. Don't understand it. I'm hesitant to lay it at Hurley's feet because I don't understand what he be doing to lead to these poor starts.

According to our buddy SGreenwell...

Alley oop to Hare, but he can't catch it cleanly. It bounces off a Bonnies player, stays URI ball.

Two URI turnovers in a row. Hare loses his man in the post, and it leads to an easy post hook for Ndoye, plus a FT.

Aaman over his shoulder to Bigby for a layup, a surprising combination! But then they're beat on the other end for a layup.

Add in a missed lay-up from Aaman.

That'll get you down.

Is Munford hurt or have teams figured him out? Hasn't been shooting well as of late. He needs to drive to the hoop more instead of shooting 18 footers.

Rod, my guy at least called to let us know he wasnt going to make it, but it was already 6 at that point. the part that frustrates me is that had I known he wasnt going to get here I would have tried to chisel my way out earlier in the day.

And the poor FT shooting has been spread around among everybody.

That HAS to get better next year, or more close games will be lost.

I imagine they will get plenty of practice by then, though.

It must be killing Hurley to see so many close games slip away. His players on the bench that can't play until next year must be frustrated too.

7 more games left. Next year, guys, next year.

When you have a bad team, bad things happen. This collection of players just isn't any good. They get points for playing hard but that is it. Not much talent there. Next season cannot come soon enough.

Rod, poor execution, poor everything. No clutch players whatsoever.

This team is bereft of talent. Simple as that.

I thought Munford was better than this. Unless he's hurt, he's not showing it. Aaman and Hare are projects. TJ is limited. Powell also. The rest are done anyway, thank God.

The Bonnies are NOT good. We are worse. Yuck.

Who said one or two wins left? That's stretching things. Well, maybe one, if everything goes right.

This team really seemed to initially buy into Hurley's plan. You have to wonder if all the losing has taken its toll and they players are no longer all in. Instead of showing growth, this team is actually going backwards. They played better earlier in the season.

Well RF1, I'm still giving the Hurleys a pass on this team, this year. Their honeymoon will last until sometime next season.

Really only 2 of these players are his, and one is a transfer. That's Munford, who's good [usually] and Aaman, who's got potential. Well Bigby's here also, but he's a one year fill in.

Hare will be good in time, but he's originally a Baron recruit.

The rest aren't his. They aren't his kind of players [sorry Mike P] although Mike will be an asset as a role player the next couple of years. TJ will be OK off the bench.

That's it. The others are just playing out the string.

Munford has been hurt since he turned his ankle in the
Butler game.
That's why he isn't going to the basket.
He still plays, and toughs it out.
St Louis was only two weeks ago today.

Powell is a backup
Hare does have an up side
TJ is TJ nothing more nothing less
Munford to inconsistant

Sorry if the audio is a bit lower than usual, but because there were only about five media people there and none of the TV crews, Hurley just did it around a table.

Staff no longer intersted in Severe, who is too small at 6'1" for a SG, and playing
the waiting game for BCS schools to recruit him.
I feel the frustration, too. Sometimes I think it's better to lose by ten than by two.

Embarrassing. You can't lose these games. Something is wrong beyond "wait till next year." you can't play like we did at Butler and then lose these two games like we did. It's just plain embarrassing.
