I dont think its not so far fetched to see this if you are going back to what was expected in the preseason. PC was picked to finish 3-4 in the Big East which in any year gets you into the ncaa tournament, they returned 6 of their top 7 scorers on a senior laden team, they have obviously underachieved for several reasons.. URI was expected to finish in the top 4 of the A10 with Walker and Sheppard both playing a full season, once the NCAA did what the NCAA does and decided their eligibility it became less likely for URI to dance. If this question was asked in the preseason, i'm not so sure its an easy answer. I'm certainly glad with how things turned out.

I don’t know about an either/or situation, but anyone following this program knew this year was set up right. Upperclassmen in Dowtin, Langevine, and Russell with the two remaining from that recruiting class starting. That level of experience and talent, without injury, is enough to be a top of the A10 team. Maybe he should have paid better attention.
