Will be a tough game. Brown shoots the 3 well, they have won 5 in a row after losing their 1st two.
Starting line up 6’9, 6’5”, 6’5”, 6’4”, 6’1”. 3 sophomores, 1 jr, 1 sr
Brown handled Bryant easily this weekend
I’d be worried about our defense against the 3, and if Brown gets off to a quick lead and we get rattled.

Fatts needs to attack the rim and only shoot open 3s. His inefficiency has been a huge problem

......l guess I will be looking for a more disciplined offensive attack with much better shot selection and deeper in the shot clock rather than the quick three......Chris DiSano gave a tutorial on the impacts of quick poor shots on the radio SB post game.......looking for the shots coming from areas on the floor that come from defensive breakdown rather being baited into “open” shots that are early in the clock.......no standing around while a Fatts does his thing we have seen this year......and evidence of some coaching going on in zone offense other than what we have seen....regarding the freshmen production, anything positive will do for now......all this could be on my Santa list....

With regard to Fatts, he should stay outside and look for open 3s. Let Jeff penetrate and dish. Fatts should focus on defense, create havoc and go to the hoop when we have numbers in transition. He should NOT force his offense. Stop trying to be the star and let the game come to him. He'll do better and the team will do better.

You can't bet on any RI teams at Twin River.

Even when this team plays well I don't think there will be tons of easy wins. And I don't expect anything easy vs Brown. Martin is a good coach and Desmond Cambridge is legit talent. We aren't good enough to blow many people out yet, let's hope we get to that point.

Really can't lose this game or we're already going to have to consider Providence and West Virginia must wins. You have to think that at some point we're going to start hitting some 3s at a better %.

Playing the way we are now, there's not much chance we win either of those games.

Major improvements in several areas need to happen, and soon.

That's a lot to ask in a short period of time. Going to take a while.

First world problem, but I'm paying extra to watch on the espn+ and have to hook up extra devices, plus for whatever reason, full screen causes buffering on my laptop on espn+ only. Also, the students do a fine job, but it would be nice to hear a non-college student voice commentating the game as well.

Alright, I am about to delete Facebook altogether. Such a waste. Scrolling through I see the Ryan Center page says something along the lines of "see you there tonight". Some nobody comments about 3 point FG %,and how URI needs to drive it in and "you might get fouled". Yeah, buddy, I am sure that the coaching staff is scrolling through Facebook to see what your recommendations are. At the same time, I see this Tweet:

I’m with your nyg fan. Shoot more 3s. Just better ones, inside out or find the guy that’s hot (if there is 1). We may not win when we miss 3s. But we aren’t winning driving to the basket taking tough 2s.

Why would we want to do even more of something that we do very poorly? We will likely shot the three better as the year progresses, but we are by no means a good three point shooting team. There needs to be a good balance that starts with ball movement, screens, picks and set plays. If we fire even more threes we will lose a ton of games this year.

What we are missing this year is a driving guard. Jeff is a PG. And a good one. But he isn't a driving guard. He's great at the mid range floaters. But he is not going to bull his way to the rim and get the fouls like JT did.
