Luwane Pipkins and Lamarr Kimble were co A10 Players of the week
Nick Honor is just about locking up Freshman of the Year as he just got his 3rd of 3 Freshman of the Week Awards

Rhode Island’s big man Cyril Langivine recorded a 19-point, 11-rebound double-double, hitting 5-of-7 (.714) from the field and a near-perfect performance (9-for-10, .900) at the line in Rhody’s win at Holy Cross

Other A10 Freshmen Listed in the Honor Roll Section of the A10 News:
- Dayton freshman Obi Toppin had a 22-point, 11-rebound double-double versus Detroit Mercy while setting the Dayton record for dunks in a game with eight, giving him 23 dunks in nine career games
- Davidson freshman Luka Brajkovic tallied 18 points and seven rebounds, swishing 8-of-10 (.800) from the field in the Winthrop victory
- Duquesne freshman Sincere Carry had 19 points, five rebounds, seven assists and five steals to lead the Dukes past Marshall earlier in the week
- UMass freshman Samba Diallo grabbed 10 rebounds and scored seven points at Providence in his first career start
- Saint Joseph’s freshman Jared Bynum tallied 19 points and dished out six assists in the Hawks road win at Princeton
- SLU freshman Fred Thatch, Jr., contributed 16 points, on 4-of-5 (.800) shooting from beyond the arc while also grabbing five rebounds

Disagree. I think they've been underutilized. We've seen extreme promise in spurts - but they're on the bench so often it's tough to tell.

These awards have always been, are, and will always be trash.

This is the same conference that awarded Yuta Wantanabe defensive player of the year over Stan Robinson.

I expect nothing when considering anything this conference recognizes as "special."

Biggest example to me is the fact that Xavier Munford never made first team All A-10 in his two years here.

Memphis Grizzlies and Milwaukee Bucks thought he was pretty good though.

I was surprised to see Tyrese didn’t get Rookie of the Week but then I looked at Lofton’s numbers. He avg 22.5 ppg for the week in two WINS. Tyrese averaged 17.5 points. He just had bad luck that another Fr had his career week too.

I hope Martin has a shot at A10 Freshman of the week, however, it will likely go to Toppin this Monday. Toppin got 25 points vs St Josephs and 26 against Duquesne plus 17 rebounds in the 2 games. Toppin hit 22-30 FGs, 7-8 FTs in the 2 games. All this coming off the bench

Duquesne: 31 min, 4-8 FG, 2-4 on 3FG, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, 2 TO, 2 F, 10 points
Saint Louis: 37 min, 6-12 FG, 2-5 on 3FG, 2-2 FT, 10 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, 0 TO, 2 F, 16 points

Martin gives us good height in the starting line up combining with the 6'4" Dowtin plus Harris and Langevine.

in A10 Conference through 9 games and the half way point Martin now has put together some strong numbers;
16-34 on 3 FG for 47.1%
14-16 FT for 87.5%
32.3 minutes per game
6.3 rebounds per game
13.3 points per game

Stats for Cyril Langevine case for Player of the Week:
Duquesne: 34 minutes, 10-16 FG, 4-13 FT, 8 rebounds, 2 steals, 1 block, 2 TO, 4 Fouls, 24 points
Saint Louis: 36 minutes, 2-6 FG, 2-3 FT, 9 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal, 5 blocks, 0 TO, 4 Fouls, 6 points. Cox called it "a monster game" for Langevine

Hope he gets it. He has been a warrior for this team all season

Rough week for URI losing to Davidson and Dayton but Cyril Langevine had numbers that could put him in the running for Player of the Week

Davidson: 30 min, 7-13 FG, 2-5 F, 6 Offensive Rebounds, 14 Rebounds, 2 Assists, 2 Steals, 2 TO, 2 F, 16 Points
Dayton: 36 min, 9-16 FG, 5-7 FT, 4 Offensive Rebounds, 10 Rebounds, 1 Block, 2 TO, 2 F, 23 Points

He likely will not get the Weekly Award due to both games being losses, but he continues to lead this team by example
