I'm seeing -1.5 at two casinos, -2.5 at a third (Vegas Insider)

Re: Opening Line: URI vs Oklahoma
Public money is all going to be on Oklahoma. The whole flyover country doesn't even know what or where Rhode Island is but know Oklahoma from football. Plus, the average All Takes Matter daytime ESPN viewer knows Trae Young, but has no idea about the nightmare he is about to live thru dealing with Jared/Jeff/Stan/Jarvis/Fatts, who are all very good-to-great defenders who we can throw at him in waves and will all give him different looks. I think the line staying toward URI will be a good sign.

Saw it opened at a pick 'em. "Sharps" in vegas most likely bumped it up a couple points shortly after it opened. Opportunity for us to hopefully make some money off a tax on Oklahoma and Trae being a household name.

Stupid q, but how do I legally bet on a game? I have no idea and have never done it before but would love to put $ down on URI.

Legally...you go to Vegas (or elsewhere in Nevada).DelroyIsMyHero wrote:Stupid q, but how do I legally bet on a game? I have no idea and have never done it before but would love to put $ down on URI.

So there is no way to put a bet down for the Rams from Boston legally? Not even online?

Definitely not. The only option you have is online sports gambling, which you can do, but in my experience it's a pain in the ass to make a withdrawal (withdrawal fees/charges and usually there's a turn-around limit, meaning they make you wait 14 days after deposit... and the other issue you can run into is your bank questioning the random ACH deposit from a different country).DelroyIsMyHero wrote:adam914 wrote:Legally...you go to Vegas (or elsewhere in Nevada).DelroyIsMyHero wrote:Stupid q, but how do I legally bet on a game? Find a friend who knows a bookie, or a friend that's willing to take the other side of your bet using the common vegas line ( < easiest).

That's so silly. When I was in Ireland there were Paddy Powers on every block. It really shouldn't be a big deal. We have casinos, liquor stores, and a million other places for legalized vices. Why not have legal sports betting.
