We're getting in late, with Maryland and Ala in the lead. But I know Rod will get excited that he's a four star and not a guard.

What we really need is a four star big man than nobody else is recruiting, then. There are lots of those out there, no?

A five star nobody is recruiting would be better, no?

Ha sure why not? While we are dreaming might as well dream big!
Where I do agree with you is just randomly jumping in with a guy from Alabama that is being heavily recruited is probably pointless unless there is a connection there we aren't privy to.

Well, yes, and Kentucky is supposedly the leader for him
according to some sources.
Let me know when we have a legit shot at going head to head with
Calipari, regardless of whatever ins we may have.

LeBron James said his four years with the Miami Heat were like going to college. How would Kevin Garnett look in Keaney Blue in 2015-2016 ?

Re: '15 Ala SF Danjel Purifory
I don't agree TP that we are wasting our time recruiting Purifory.
Interesting that our friends at PC are courting the 11th ranked ESPN player in the Class of 2016 who is also from Alabama. Langford is the Top Player in Alabama for Class of 2016 and is a 5 star player.
Purifory is the Top Ranked Player in Alabama Class of 2015 but is a 4 Star and ranked #51 ESPN
If these guys want to leave Alabama and move to Rhode Island then welcome.
The recruiting landscape has now changed at Rhody for Dan Hurley and Staff.
EC Mathews and Hassan Martin have showed their wares in their 1st year at URI and have established themselves as bonafide All Atlantic 10 Potential Players even as they enter only their 2nd year.
Jordan Hare has returned (widely different opinions on him of course) who I think is a very solid addition back to the team and will contribute a lot this year
Terrell is a beast of a player - bonafide Top 100 ESPN PLayer who will have a significant impact on the team and start
So Dan Hurley has a young and solid base of players to build on. He can afford to go after higher ranked players now, and if he loses out on them he loses out on them, but he can afford to be more selective now.
I like the strategy Hurley is implementing with the recruiting. Going after higher ranked players, casting a wider net, getting the Rhode Island name out there far and wide, recruiting against the big name Coaches and big name Schools.
Jim Harrick would be proud.
