Re: Italy Trip
seemed like a once in a lifetime sort of occurrence to pair up two things i love -- italy and rhody hoops. will try to post as often as possible, hopefully seeing 2 practices and 2 games. i am sure laprey will do more than enough in terms of sharing info and pics, and is likely much more tech saavy than i am. buon viaggio rhody nation...saro in Italia la prossima volta vi parlo. Go Rhody!!!!

Someone should tell them to watch out for any Gypsies. I loved going to Italy. Such a good time.

A wonderful trip for a great group of guys! A just and deserved reward. I know their families are enjoying their exploits even more than all of us. Be proud Rhody fans.

Great pictures.
Glad to see Aaman is there. I thought it was mentioned earlier this week that he wasn't going or something? Obviously I got that wrong, which is good.

The question was whether or not he's going to play, which remains to be seen. No need to rush it if he's still hurt.

If anyone is FB friends with Andrea Hurley,
she's posted some family pics as well as the team.
Coaching staff wearing Bing Crosby (Bruno Mars style for you kids)style hats.
She said they were awake for 36 hours straight,
before deciding to sleep.

Good for him.

I love the modern era for following sports. Even in the late 1990's you had very limited information compared to now. It's a great time to have an interesting team to follow. We're getting much more info and access than we've ever seen at URI.

My brother and I played the gelato stand game last time we were over. We experienced every gelato stand between ischia and rome (there's several). I lifted and ran every day and still came home 12 pounds heavier after 2 weeks. I have faith that he'll find a way.seanmc94 wrote:If this trip can't put some LBs on Hare; nothing will.
If you say you’re a Rhody fan, I know you are my brother. For you have suffered as I have suffered.

Given the uptempo style that Hurley wants to play, it shouldn't be a problem.twisted3829 wrote:fiba, 24 second shot clock and 8 seconds to get the ball over

I thought during the practice last week they were using a 24 second shot clock for some of their "scrimmages". Obviously, coach is always prepared!
