And when we got vedder we were all optimistic... In fact if we do become the team we want to be, then I will miss the days of hyping any recruit we got. Like anyone that signed I felt like we all subsequently nodded our heads and raised a glass to what they could be. Damn it Barron.

Nice job Rod. It's interesting how social media has enabled fans to become involved in the recruiting process.

Doesn't Jared know that at ok st he is a second class citizen? Even the back up kicker is considered more important then a basketball player.

If I was a college basketball player there are few BCS schools I would want to play for. You are only relevant after the bowl games and before spring practice.

In that article, this line is consistent with my understanding of the situation:

"For Terrell, Oklahoma State had the momentum before his Rhode Island visit."

Meaning Hurley and staff perfectly executed their recruiting plan and official visit program to nudge them into the lead by a nose.

On sort of a side note, I am always fascinated by some of these kids' final two or three schools. What could URI and Okie State possibly have in common? A10/Big XII. On the ocean/Mad Max Stillwater, OK. DH is a Jersey guy. Ford is a hillbilly. Maybe early playing time? I always get a kick out of these lists.

The misdirection in Abu's recruitment is odd.
A tweet is sent out by his coach saying, no visits before the announcment.
Abu send one saying he's resting before the announcement.
Then within days, he goes to Florida and NC State.
Just strange.
Yes, Zags is almost a Hurley spokeman. If he's telling Zags he's in the dark........
