I am so sick of those Miami Heat ! They were banged up missing Butler and Rozy but the Celtics are a far superior team . Spoelstra great coach though

Luka...how is it that, for a guy who is by no means fast...regardless of the defender...he always manages to get them behind him? He's not "outrunning" anyone, yet 9 times out of 10 it seems, when he gets the ball, the defender starts out between him and the basket, and whether he shoots it or not, after a couple dribbles and (not very fast) steps, he's between the defender and the basket? It's like a slow-mo blow-by, with a pause to give the guy a chance to run into him from behind....it's uncanny sometimes. I have never seen a guy that slow...get by defenders so easily...with a dad bod to boot...

He really is incredible then you have Kyrie who can go off too, then and OKC will be a good series

I’m hoping for less than 6 , if it goes 6 or more not a good look for the Celtics even with no KP

Good point, Reef.

Why I am thinking 6 is I am figuring that the Cavs will have one lights out shooting game like the Heat did then, the C’s will sleep walk one game, like they tend to do occasionally.

Of course, both those things above could happen in one game so that the series goes 5.

Btw, what is up with Tatum? Seems his shooting has been off in the playoffs so far.

Good call Jdrums#3

They sure sleep walked tonight
37-4 at home during the regular season

Celts Favored by 12.5 points at home

Disaster as Celts are now losing by 27 with 4 minutes to go

The Celtics team of the last few years does not seem to have the killer instinct. Too many great games in the playoffs followed by clunkers where players failed to deliver good efforts. It is why this team still has many championship doubters. Until they prove otherwise, they are not on the same level as many past Celtics teams.

I am happy the C’s won last night. But, I wasn’t thrilled with their play last night.

Hopefully, they played to the level of the competition last night because that wasn’t championship level basketball.

Horford was terrible last night now has missed his last 10 3s and constantly gave up hoops when he was switched on their perimeter guys

Let’s wrap this up tomorrow and get some rest !

Cleveland had a lot of fight in them last night. Mitchell is special I didn’t give them much of a chance without him. They definitely stepped up as a group.

C's move on.

Haven't watched much (mostly because thy play when I'm asleep), but really like Holmgren and Luka as players, wish I could be watching some of that. Does either of those two have a shot vs Den/Min winner?

I think Denver would be heavy favorites against either, but it wouldn't be crazy if them - or Minnesota - emerged from the west. Luka can get hot and carry the Mavs, with Kyrie functioning as a decent second banana. The Thunder are pretty deep, which usually matters less in the playoffs, but SGA is good enough to match-up against almost anyone. Jokic just picks apart even these good teams though, and I'm not sure how you stop that if his supporting cast is intact.

Pacers are up next for the C’s. Not an easy matchup due to their high scoring O.

The C’s will need to step it up on D to get past them in 5 or 6 games.

I would like to see the C’s get KP back playing before The Finals to work the layoff kinks out.

Great points Drums

I agree the Cs need to really make the Pacers pay for their poor defense

Let’s indeed hope KP gets back before this series to get him in playing shape !

I was expecting a C’s win tonight - potentially an easy one with Haliburton out for the Pacers.

I am not watching the game but just checked the score and the C’s are down 12 at the half. They gave up 69 pts in the first half and the Pacers are shooting 63% from the floor.

What the frigg is going on? Are the C’s sleeping walking on D so far tonight?

They better wake the heck up! Bury the Pacers while they are wounded. Sheesh

Excellent 2nd half from the C’s on defense. They held the Pacers to 42 2nd half pts after giving up 69 pts in the first half.

Gutsy comeback win. 👍🏼

11 wins down and only 5 more wins for a championship.

Has there been a better backcourt than Luka and Kyrie...? Anyone...? Frazier/Monroe? Michael /anyone? Curry / Thompson?

Once again, Luka gets his defender behind him and...good things happen...like that Gafford jam over Rudy G.

Lol at the “easy path” talk. Ain’t gonna be any easy path through the Mavs.

We live in the era of false narratives and fake news. I think it shapes up as an epic finals with interesting matchups up and down the lineups!

Then there’s the Kyrie factor! Peak entertainment coming up!

Go Green!

I agree. Sad news about the big red head. I enjoyed watching him at UCLA when they were on TV when I was a kid. I remember watching the game at Notre Dame when ND broke the 72 game winning streak.

I enjoyed his run with the C’s in ‘86. What a great team that was. And, I enjoyed listening to him commentating on PAC games - he was very entertaining.

Who knew he would pass around the same time the PAC that he knew died. RIP, Bill.

Mavs vs Celts after both teams sweep their Conference Championship Series 4-0

Pacers played the Celtics better than the 4-0 sweep would indicate. Games were very competitive.

Championship should be great

The C’s did what they needed to do. Now they need to get KP ready to go.

Also would help if Tatum can find his 3 pt stroke during the break as he is only shooting it at 29% in the playoffs so far.
