I have no problem saying this is a big game. Why not?

Win, you're 4-2 and you give a group of guys that needs confidence into a winnable stretch of games. Eclipse the 9 win mark.

Lose one of your more winnable games left on the schedule to stupid Fordham and you're not feeling too hot.

Would be a big win.

If we lose tonight to Fordham, on our home court, Fordham being the team that many URI fans want removed from the A10…………Does losing then make the bleeding even more severe and our next game even more Huge?

Thus is pretty much a pick-em game
Home team gets 3 points from oddsmakers in general, URI favored by 2.5 points so game would be about even on a neutral court.

Rainy night. Student attendance has not been significant this season so I’d be surprised if students show tonight. Maybe???

Miller and team need to improve and get their best 5-7 players identified to make noise in Brooklyn. That’s the goal. Win or lose get this group playing to the best of their ability.
Posters - especially me - have brought up the idea of having Fordham out of the conference for a number of reasons including performance, lack of NCAAT appearances, lack of bringing in NCAAT revenue, lack of program commitment, etc, etc.

It isn’t simply an issue of they often have a losing record. It goes beyond that.

If FU committed to their mbb program tomorrow then I would start to think differently. But there is no evidence they ever will and they continue to be a NET drag on the conf.

Further, our program and its commitment, history, etc. are not comparable. We have benefitted the A10.

ETA: not picking on you Ramster. I am not an FU hater. I would love to see them excell because then we (Rhody) and whole conf get challenged more. It is not personal with Fordham for me. I have nothing against the school beyond its lack of commitment.

This is unwatchable, no cohesiveness with this team. Teams have quickly learned leaving Fuchs wide ass open for threes is the key to a defensive stop.

Fuchs with a first half double double! I know he's not perfect, and he's missed a lot of shots tonight, but we'd be lost without him inside.

Win, you're 4-2 and you give a group of guys that needs confidence into a winnable stretch of games. Eclipse the 9 win mark.

Lose one of your more winnable games left on the schedule to stupid Fordham and you're not feeling too hot.

Would be a big win.
Have at it.
If beating Fordham at home is a Big Win then good for you.
What remaining game would not be a Big Win?
Sitting here 15 minutes til Tip Off does not feel like this is a Big Game, Must Win environment.
Feels much like last year and the year before.
Student Caps are nice.
Looks like Weston might be playing. Hand has a lot of white tape on it.
🙄

It's all relative ramster. I gave my reasons for calling it such and you are refusing to consider what my reasoning is.

Would it make you feel better if I said it's an IMPORTANT game for this group?

I don’t care
Every game is big, huge, must win
Even Fordham at home
Win this we can revive the talk of getting the double bye in March

He sure does.. He also makes some dumb mistakes, like letting that dude on Fordham blow by him and have the dunk of the game. But I love his motor and offensive upside. Fou will be a problem in the A10 in a year or two. And our other freshman big has a double-double.. I know last year caused a lot of doubters, including myself, but Archie can freaking recruit..
