Remember that their 2023 1st Team All-IVY forward Matt Knowling has been struggling with a groin injury.
He didn't even play against us.
Jersey, when you posted groin injury, I thought of the TV show Cheers episode when Sam took a shot at TV sports and was rapping “groin injury” when a player couldn’t play due to an injured groin.
Green isn't even eligible and never played a minute for us.
Matt Knowling has been a major part of their team.
Not this year. Why bring him up. Are you saying Yale is good because a player isn't playing this year?
Matt Knowling has averaged 11 points and 4 rebounds while shooting 50%.
Started 6 of the 7 games he’s played in THIS year.
Yeah, he was their top returning player but his production has been down a little because he hasn't been 100%, hampered by both ankle and groin injuries and just pointed out that he did miss our game and has been slowed this season.

Damn, that shine certainly came off quick for Ivy Yale.
Pretty unlucky. Vermont is good though.
Agree. But Yale is terrible.
Yale is not terrible. That was a terrible way to lose, but Vermont is a good team. That actually would have been a good win for Yale what a brutal way to lose. Vermont will likely win the American East and could be a sneaky pick to upset someone in the NCAA tournament. I think Yale could as well.

If you're talking groin-related sitcom humor...I don't know if Kramer passing a kidney stone at Yankee Stadium qualifies or not...is that too deep?

Yale is not good.
Their wins are:
5-4 Loyola Marymount
4-4 Colgate
4-5 Gardner-Webb
2-5 StonyBrook
I'm guessing a NET ranking around 200.
Yup, just like us, they do not have a marquee win.
What are your thoughts on Knowling, Mbang, and Wolf? I would absolutely love all of them on our roster. If they transferred right now, I bet they would all be pursued by high majors.
It's a long season, and I don't think the first NET ranking will show how good they actually are.. Yale's best player has been banged up or hurt most of the year. Imagine us with a banged-up Zek? We'd be in big trouble. I think they had a bad loss against Weber St. They played Gonzaga well in the first 30 minutes. I think it was a 5 pt game at half. It took a miracle, and they lost, but they were the better team against a good Vermont team. I bet they win the Ivy and conference winners are not terrible teams.

Unfortunately Steve, the first NET ranking pretty much solidifies were teams stand. Don't get me wrong, I hate the NET. But if Yale gets a 200+ NET tomorrow, they are not getting any better in the Ivy League.

There you go Blueram, Yale has an opening NET of #113.
George Mason, with the second best NET in the A-10, visits #17 Tennessee Tuesday (on ESPN+ at 6:30 PM) and the game will be the first test for them as their 7-1 record was achieved by only so-so competition.

So if the first NET pretty solidifies where teams stand, will McNeese St be higher/around Gonzaga, Duke, UNC, and Kentucky in March?
McNeese St is currently ranked higher than all of them.
So no, the first NET does not solidify where teams stand.

If McNeese State does what Gonzaga does in conference, yes, they will be around Gonzaga ranking in March. How hard is it to beat Pepperdine, and Santa Clara? Bout the same as Houston Christian and SE Louisiana. So yes, the first NET is huge.
Games today
Delaware at Xavier 6:30pm FS1
George Mason at Tennessee 6:30pm ESPN+
Providence at Oklahoma 7:00pm ESPNU
Loyola Chicago at Tulsa 8:30pm ESPN+
Navy at George Washington 7:00pm ESPN+

This is not correct

Good ones tonight , PC @ Okla and UConn UNC I would like to follow
Will definitely be watching that UNC vs. UConn game. Hurley is not messing around with this non-conference schedule and early season tournaments! It'll be interesting to see how they do with all the injuries they're dealing with right now.

I think I saw Castle is playing ? Just saw he’s #9 in the mock draft that just came out

Yeah sounds like he'll be back. Not sure how limited he'll be first game back. Karaban and Spencer are both hurt to, but I think they might still play.

Didn't realize Xavier was not good this year. What's going on with that program?
Zack Freemantle and Jerome Hunter two of their better players from last year got hurt before the season started.
Still a good win for Delaware at Xavier.
Xavier did return Claude and brought in some high-profile transfers Olivari and McKnight.
Plus added (C)Ousmane from North Texas.
Our Delaware game won't be easy.
Maybe Sean can give Archie a good scouting report.
