Dayton is officially forreal now.

It's been amazing watching them find themselves since halfway through the LSU game

That is NOT the same Dayton team that lost to NW.

St. John's has two wins - Stony Brook by 16, and North Texas by 1. They've lost to Michigan, Dayton and that D-II team in the exhibition season. I think they're getting that sheen of being a decent team because of Pitino's presence, but it would still be unusual for a team to have success with so many transfers immediately. (Yes, some teams do have success with a ton of transfers right away, but not all of them.) I think its more likely that St. John's is average or meh this year, and get better next year with transfers and holdovers.

Young Rick Pitino ain’t walking through that door, or Chris Mullin, Walter Berry, Mark Jackson….

Rough start for the Johnnies, so far.

Good win for the conference. 👍🏼

Well of course. I expect their NET to be close to top 50, and Dayton close to 75-100.

He made the tournament two out of the last three at Iona.

Just because he’s old doesn’t mean he’s lost it.

Take a chill pill. I am just busting chops. I promise to be nice to Ricky from now on because you might get upset.

ETA: I take it you didn’t catch the irony of me using Rick’s spin of Rick’s Celts quote. Ooph. Talk about being tone deaf. Always ready to pounce.

Not a bad win, NSU went to the NCAAT 2 of the last 3 years, and last season lost in the finals of the MEAC championship.
Picked 2nd this season and have 3 players pre-season all-conference.

Jersey, thanks to you for educating me. Good stuff. But, it takes the enjoyment out of my wanting to poke fun at Fordham.

I am going to regret reading your well presented post now. :D

Yes, but they still don't suck, we would be happy with it.
Too bad that Fordham didn't have Tsimibila available for the Cornell game, they also aren't terrible.

I meant we would be happy with that win on a neutral site.
