Re: URIMBB Season Tix - KB who’s in?
Why the negativity. When you have a registered event, there is always many no shows. Maybe URI did not plan for excess or maybe they experienced a higher than average number of no-shows. The upstairs at Mews is narrow and cramped not a great venue for a crowded event.Rhody15 wrote: ↑8 months agoIt’s funny but also sad how poorly URI seems to do the easiest of things.section(105) wrote: ↑8 months agoYes, correct. And don't even get me started on the freaking parking there ... I would say (w/o knowing how many registrants there were) that even a $5 donation to the Athletic fund as a requirement to register...would have probably eliminated most of the "registered" no-shows.Obadiah wrote: ↑8 months agoWhy the negativity. Re: URIMBB Season Tix - KB who’s in?
I think you're right. If they expect a sellout they should have a token donation like $5. It won't stop anyone from going but it will stop people from just signing up figuring if they end up not being able to make it who cares, it was free. It cares to the people not able to sign up and I'm sure the coaches would rather a full houseNYGFan_Section208 wrote: ↑8 months agoAnd don't even get me started on the freaking parking there ... In, both tickets. Update edit. Renewed yes. However the taking in the games will for me have a different feel casting my eyes over the floor with realization the landscape has changed. The players are being openly paid and not giving a shit about Ole State U. The feel for me will be different.

Re: URIMBB Season Tix - KB who’s in?
We missed a lot of games this year and with all the departures we considered not renewing. We’ve been season ticket holders since the Ryan Center opened. However babysitting duties will reduce and we want to give Archie another to show an improved year. We’ve also committed a small amount every month to Rhody Excellence.

Re: URIMBB Season Tix - KB who’s in?
I renewed last week for season 28. My 2 boys ages 6 and 4 really got into things last season now that they understand things better. They are going to be disappointed though when they see the turnover on the roster. They had every player and number memorized. Hopefully the new players lead to more wins and therefore more excitement.

Re: URIMBB Season Tix - KB who’s in?
While I'm no longer a season ticket holder (I relinquished a couple of years after moving to Boston and it became a waste of money to buy season tickets for 3 games I could actually make), I was from after graduation until around 2004. That last season with the $99 end zone package was ideal for my situation. Once that price increased by 250% (if my math is correct - it went from $99 to $349 or from ridiculously underpriced to ridiculously overpriced), I was out. But I still did 2 - 5 games a year. I did wane at the end of the Baron era as I was sick of disappointment. Then kids and covid made it so I haven't been to the Ryan Center since March of 2020. I did attend a couple of road games over the past few years.
Hopefully I'll be back soon (dying to take my girls to a game!)

Re: URIMBB Season Tix - KB who’s in?
While important as to who is in or out on season ticket purchases, it is also important to know to what percentage of the Ryan Center's capacity makes an ideal size season ticket size or goal. And what is the current size of season ticket holders and how has that number trended over the last ten years.
i'm assuming that the numbers do not bode well otherwise this info would be common knowledge, but I hope I am wrong.

Moved to NC so no more season tickets. Made 4 games last year and will try to do the same this year. Depends on the schedule.

Re: URIMBB Season Tix - KB who’s in?
Other than to keep some streak alive or to guarantee you have the seats you like, there's really not a good reason to buy season tickets if all you want to do is go to games (that's my qualifier there). You'll be able to buy the cheapest seats for any game a la carte and then sit pretty much in any section you want - minus the floor (maybe)...
If you feel it supports the program to buy one or more season tickets, go for it.

Re: URIMBB Season Tix - KB who’s in?
If I lived 5 minutes from campus, I might already be back in. It has really sucked the last few years driving home for 45-50 minutes after the team played like shit, especially last season where there were so many games with little effort. It should be entertainment, but it hasn't been very entertaining since Dan left. Driving home pissed off isn't a good thing.hrstrat57 wrote: ↑3 weeks agoNope it’s entertainment 5 minutes from my house and it’s my school.NYGFan_Section208 wrote: ↑3 weeks ago If you buy season tickets, is that a vote of confidence/acceptance in what's happening with the team?

Re: URIMBB Season Tix - KB who’s in?
I have just renewed my season tickets for this upcoming season. If there is no improvement in effort or "caring", it will be the last year. I am not at all okay with the current state of affairs in college basketball. The free transfers and the portal have ruined it for me. Yes I am old school, deal with it.

Re: URIMBB Season Tix - KB who’s in?
I used to be a Day 1 Renewal, but this year it took a reminder call from Tyler on Friday to push me over the finish line. If my sons didn't have fun going to a handful of games last season, I don't know if I would have renewed. I literally don't even know who's on the team. Compare this to the Baron or Hurley years...

they need to figure out if you want your existing seats, want to move sections, or not at all so they know the inventory for any new accounts, group sales, mini packs and single game tickets.
