Re: Where Are They Now? Former Player Results and News
His Mom posted on Twitter that they have never been apart, and she is hopeful that they will be able to see each other and communicate by Zoom, and that it will be very difficult for them.
While I am not a twin, they are grown men, they should at this point in their lives be able to be separated without serious emotional disturbance.

Re: Where Are They Now? Former Player Results and News
They're fine with context. Like, some guy playing 5 MPG or less, or that only got into 5 games, his per 40 stats probably aren't valuable at all. That's essentially one shift per game, or heavy garbage time minutes. They're more useful for projecting what a rotation bench player (10 to 20 MPG) might produce as a starter.Jersey77 wrote: ↑11 months agoNever been a fan of the per 40 minutes stats, I think it is worthless and has no real meaning.limkangyoung wrote: ↑11 months agoA good one?
Here are his stats:
Played in 30 games, started nine and averaged 11.4 points, 10.0 rebounds and 4.7 blocks per 40 minutes.

SG that doesn't take into account that opposing teams will make defensive adjustments on those players or the fact that as they play more minutes, fatigue may settle in, and their offensive output will diminish.SGreenwell wrote: ↑11 months agoThey're fine with context. To say that their production would be the same for all 40 minutes is a reach, can also work the opposite way.
So I really only go by what they do while on the court and not speculate on what could be.

I’ve never laughed so hard at a tweet in my life, if they’re going to reach their “true” potentials I think they needed to be separated, felt like Makhel made the most strides after Makhi tore his ACL their first year hereLoveThoseRams wrote: ↑11 months ago His Mom posted on Twitter that they have never been apart, and she is hopeful that they will be able to see each other and communicate by Zoom, and that it will be very difficult for them.

There are plenty of top 50 teams that could use a defensive, shot blocking center like Makhel. I have to believe he could have done a lot betr.!

By all accounts, Alabama is just waiting for Preston Murthy’s show cause to expire this month and then he’ll officially be on board. To be honest, I felt way better about Nate prior to this season, but I still like both of them and am glad they’ll be working together.

I know, we discussed it another thread. I wish he was coming into a slightly less controversial situation, or at least one that won’t be so scrutinized. Miller is gone, but people will remember all that. This is the now deleted tweet-Jersey77 wrote: ↑11 months agoYes Ace, that makes total sense, first reported in early April.

FYI - for those that may not be aware, head coach Mike Malone of the 2023 NBA champion Denver Nuggets is the son of former URI coach Brendan Malone. Brendan was also once an NBA head coach with Toronto.

The Martin family is as good as it gets! UConn just had two guys go from GA’s to D1 assistant coaches, so a great place for him to get started on the other part of his basketball career.CamsRams wrote: ↑11 months ago Malik a grad assistant for UConn this year.

What a great landing spot for Malik. Hopefully we are looking at his younger brothers as future Rams. I spoke with Mrs. Martin and the next brother up at the A10s, who both said they would love to have another Rhody Ram in the family!

We shouldn't' put words in the guy's mouth, like Rudder said, I think he meant, "You can’t imtiate it"

Apologies if this has already been posted. I just read where Jeff won’t be playing in the summer league with the Raptors because he is rehabbing from right ankle surgery he had in mid May. Report stated he should be ready to go by training camp.

I love this so much
Maybe Hass joins the Rhody Way
I dont think this board has appreciated his prowess in Europe enough. Dude is one of the best centers in the Euroleague.

A friend of mine played against Hass last year and he's 6'11. He said Hass was the strongest dude he's ever faced and this kid played in the NBA for a few years.

Tyrese Martin scored a game-high 25 points, nine rebounds and three assists for the Hawks in a win vs Minnesota in NBA Summer League action yesterday. Martin scored or assisted on 19 of the Hawks’ 29 points in the fourth quarter.

Tyrese Martin
Martin had an impressive summer league showing; he led the Atlanta Hawks in total rebounds (30). He averaged 13.2 points, six rebounds, 2.6 assists and one steal.
Most notably, Martin shot a 34.8 percent clip from the perimeter, making him the most efficient Husky shooter from deep.

Re: Where Are They Now? Former Player Results and News
He normally would have an additional year because of the Covid season but because he was not enrolled in any school or listed on a roster for 22-23, that may have cost him his waiver this season.NYGFan_Section208 wrote: ↑9 months agoBut why is his 'college career over'? (I'm stunned he went there, but hey, good for him)
His freshman season was 18-19 and 24-25 would be his 7th year and his time limit would have ended because he never had a medical hardship waiver.
Just my interpretation of the rules.

I agree and I believe the NCAA is starting to clean out the 6, 7, 8 year player. Playing college ball at 25 or 26 years old. Enough

To add some positive news not sure I saw this posted but Gil Biruta has joined the staff as a grad assistant.
He is one of the brightest and highest character kids we've had come through the program in the last decade and will be a positive force on our younger players. Especially the bigs.

Someone made a topic specifically about Tiara Wheeler, and those posts seemed more appropriate there. I split them into that thread.
