LOL. Jimmy is a weathered 55. Hoping he has success at UMBC. Great spot for him. He had some fun teams at LIU Brooklyn before going to Duquesne. Duquesne is not an easy place to win.

Vermont was picked for 1st place. Becker met expectations.LIRAM wrote: ↑1 year agoCoach Becker is impressive. You are not going to out coach him! Herrion at UNH is a good basketball mind. Jim Ferrry has so much experience and just a great guy. Pat Duquette at UMass Lowell is real good. Chris Markwood and Levell Sanders look to be great hires at Maine and Binghamton. Levell Sanders is going to be great in my opinion. He has all the making of being a star. This is not the NEC in terms of Coaching.Jersey77 wrote: ↑1 year agoJust can't emphasize enough how great of a coaching job John Becker has done at Vermont.LIRAM wrote: ↑1 year ago So confused how RV gives Grasso/Bryant a pass on an extremely disappointing season. What a joke with that roster. He was outcoached in almost every single game. The American East has some good head coaches for a low major. This isn't the NEC. His arrogance and lack of any real plan other than out talent everyone backfired. Maybe he learns from this but I have a strong feeling he will continue with what he does. So happy to see fellow Long Islander, Jim Ferry dust him twice this season. Bryant does have the talent to wipe through the conference tournament but do they have the Coach? That should be RV's question!
After losing 4 starters and most of their scoring, they still dominated the league this season (14-2)
This is now his 7th consecutive regular season title AEC.
UMASS-Lowell came in a close 2nd
Bryant finished further behind those 2 in 3rd but 6th in record. To finish 8-8 (17-12) was underwhelming.

There hasn't really been any resolution yet in the sexual assault civil case involving one of his former stars, NBA player Anthony Lamb. A lawsuit about it was filed in December 2022. There's a full rundown of it here. I don't think URI - and a bunch of other schools - wanted any part of that.

New Hampshire NET 274 beats Bryant.
Only 4 Turnovers for UNH
Bryant had 14 TOs.
Season over for Bryant.

I watched Bryant more this year than others. I’ll admit it. I was wrong about Grasso. He can recruit but man his in game coaching is brutal. What a letdown…

Re: Rhody Vault
Didn't say he was in consideration. But if you go back to the speculation thread on who the new coach might be there were some who would have been ok with Grasso.
The one game where we beat them at the Ryan and Malik Martin got mugged on a layup was all I needed to see of Grasso and his players.
That's why I'm glad he didn't end up here. Last guy i would ever want Coaching my favorite team and my suspicions have certainly been confirmed by his actions and team performance since Archie Miller was announced at URI.

no doubt, RV is a dipshit. we all agree. however, where does the 'rhody' thing stop? Does URI actually have a TM on 'Rhody' ? I'm asking, I don't know.
URI going after MOB? see rhodyoysters.com
little rhody foods?
Rhody Transportation?
Rhody Disposal?
those are just the first handful of a quick google search.
I think the collective ire on this one for the 'rhody' moniker is misdirected.

I can't remember exactly - I think the discussion in that thread might have covered. My impression was that after committing, he was quickly sniffed around by more P6 schools, and opened his recruitment back up. I could definitely be mistaken, though! He was just a verbal commit, IIRC, not someone with a signed letter of intent.RhodyRams916 wrote: ↑1 year agoI'm guessing he de-committed because of Estevez and Dubsky?SGreenwell wrote: ↑1 year agoYou can read about it here. He had only just verbally committed, and his recruitment was starting to heat up.
I think he was expecting some P5 offers and decided to open it up.

I created a separate thread for Rhody Vault because all of his dumb, ill-advised attacks on URI and/or Archie Miller were being distributed across many different subject threads. Now they are all together.
I screen-shot his stuff for the very reason that he deletes the threads where he goes way off with stupid/mean, vengeful stuff then if he gets too much kickback he cowardly deletes it.
Hate that he used Rhody Vault with a Basketball. Should be against URI trademark or at least he should have the decency to change his brand since he does URI no favors.

I don't exactly recall - something about several recruits being on some all star type list - one of them a PC recruit being on the lists (1st/2nd/3rd teams) and "former URI commit Myers" being on one. I mean it's relevant info and I don't have a problem with it mentioned, but based on his history, it could also be seen as a dig.ramster wrote: ↑1 year agoWhat did the tweet say?RhodyRams916 wrote: ↑1 year agoHahaha I called him out and he definitely saw it while lurking here.
