Because I’ll most likely be wrong about Cooley leaving for Georgetown? Sorry yea, guess I fell for his coach speak about PC. Sue me. Guess that means I know nothing about basketball!
Well, you know less than you thought you did.
Every single person on this board has been wrong about something and will continue to be wrong going forward.

Some people here know and understand the game better than others, and it’s very obvious who those people are when reading posts.
So you being a db to people who don't know the game is ok? Like a freshmen or sophomore student, who likes college hoops, would feel welcome here with you shitting on every take you disagree with? This is a fan board. For people to post their thoughts, rants and love for URI basketball. Get off your high horse and quit shitting on posters you don't agree with.

The weird thing is whoever we get to come next year, we will probably have a completely different team the year after.

Here’s our point guard.

He’s the type of grad transfer that I would 100% take.

A known commodity against the same/better competition.

Give me him over the low major grad transfers that just had blah stats this season.

I'd definitely take him and hope he stays healthy. A point guard who can score but also is looking to get everyone else involved would be perfect.

I think if you want Noah, you're going to have to sign one or two of the other ones on that list first.

He's transferring from UMass, what would be the point of going to a team who's roster is decimated?

Get some momentum, and legitimate 2 and 3 talents, and he might bite.

Odd there's no mention on his Twitter
"Every season, college basketball has one or two teams that rise from dormancy to relevancy, squads that make long-awaited charges at the NCAA Tournament and become really fun storylines along the way."

Looks like a mass exit again. Bassy's dream was to play here. If he leaves, I don't expect many to stay.

In Bassy’s case, I would imagine Archie was just honest with him about his playing time moving forward if recruiting goes as expected this offseason.

The coach 100%. Archie probably told him that his PT would be cut if they got someone in the portal.

I don't mind a lot of players leaving right now (I hate the whole idea, but it is what it is), but Archie has to get it right this off-season. He needs to bring in not only better talent, but guys who are going to stay and be the nucleus going forward. 8 or 9 new players every year isn't going to work.

I liked Thomas. I liked his work ethic, his speed, and his court vision. He admittedly needed work on his shooting but was a very good passer. That being said, I don't think he was asked to leave, but it was a personal realization that Archie was out hunting for guards probably pushing him further down the bench.

Agree, probably not 'asked' to leave, but told something like, "I'm hoping, and pretty sure I'm going to be able to, land at least two players at your spot that are better than you".... y'know, in a nice way.
