Re: TJ Buchanan Podcast
What happened at Eastern Michigan? Looks like he was only on staff for about two months.
You've been named head coach of the Kalamazoo Galaxy of The Basketball League, how do you feel with your first head coaching job?
Is professional basketball coaching your long term profession or do you hope to eventually get back in to college coaching?

Take down the Robert Carothers banner and fix the concession stand lines

Re: TJ Buchanan Podcast
What was his initial recruitment to URI like? Why did he choose the school?
What were his thoughts and emotions when Baron was fired?
How did the relationship with Hurley develop? What was said at the initial meeting? You went from a starter under Baron, to coming off the bench initially for Hurley. Was that something that the coaching staff discussed with you, or just something you adjusted to?

Re: TJ Buchanan Podcast
Those last questions are particularly excellent. His story about Baron leaving is the biggest part of the show. He will reveal something he had not mentioned before. You will be shocked.

Re: TJ Buchanan Podcast
Thanks again Scott!
1. Jordan Hare 6'10", 205 lbs
In his 5th game as a Freshman vs Loyola Maryland had 8 points, 16 rebounds and 7 blocks in 28 minutes
The next game at Auburn 5 points, 9 rebounds, 3 blocks
After that PC 14 points, 4 rebounds, 3 blocks
So in 3 games early in his career he totaled 27 points, 29 rebounds and 13 blocks
What ever happened to Jordan?
He made the trip that summer to Italy with the team.
Do you ever wonder what you would have done with Jordan Hare's height, wingspan, shot blocking ability, rebounding and shooting skills?
Where is Hare today? How do you think Dan Hurley handled the Harr situation? Anything he could have fine differently?
2. When did you realize Dan Hurley could and would take URI to places not seen since Jim Harrick?
3. Greatest memories from his time at URI as a player and as a staff member?

Re: TJ Buchanan Podcast
No It’s Wednesday night so you are good. I am seeing that Hurley’s first year they were slightly statistically inferior.

Dan handled the Hare situation like most of us balding guys handle the Hare situation…cut it as short as possible.ramster wrote: ↑1 year ago Thanks again Scott!

Re: TJ Buchanan Podcast
Excellent interview, Scott! Thank you!
I hope TJ does really well with the Kal Galaxy, grows as a HC and has the opportunity to move on to greener pastures or back to Rhody some day.

As always with your PodCasts - wonderfully done
Love the conversation and how you allow the person to talk, be relaxed and themselves.
Thanks for asking the question about Jordan Hare. Nice that TJ keeps up with Jordan and his family.
Didn't know, or I had forgotten, that TJ was Sponge Holton's roommate. I always thought Sponge had tremendous talent and TJ reiterated that. Sponge was tremendous on the offensive boards.
Liked hearing about his new role as a Head Coach
Thank you.
