Others will probably disagree but Yorke was actually decent today.
Nothing to complain about from me.
He wasn't bad today, but to be fair, they only made 16 shots so only 16 chances to make an ass of himself. There was really no opportunity for anyone to get excited about anything in the game today.
I haven’t been able to attend games in person this season due so some medical issues, but can tell all of you watching home games on TV or listening to Steve and Chris. Omg. All you can hear is Yorke over everything. He’s insufferable as an announcer and he’s even worse on his radio show. We cannot have this representing the program anymore.
As much as we’ve all ripped on Friar Frank, I just watched PEe CeE / Nova and it was nice how you could “hear” him but not *HEAR* him.
The Rhody program needs someone with a booming voice who’s not going to be a primadonna who likes hearing their own voice.

He sounds like the voice from MSG but there is no way it was.
It was he did the URI v Fordham game three years ago, he’s a Fordham alum he comes back sometimes to do them when the Knicks aren’t playing
Good call Dino. He has that unique call on a three pointer that is identifiable.
They introduced him before the game and showed him on the big screen. Fordham has a big overhead screen on both ends of the court. They show live action on the court on the big screen.
Did not see any replays on the big screens.

Whoever is in charge of hiring and firing York needs a Beltone hearing aid because you'd have to be def not to fire this guy by now.
Rolling it out Ooooonnnnneeeeee MMMooooooooooooooooorrrre Tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiimmmmmmmmeee!!!! this coming Sat'dy
You would have to think that someone on the AD staff reads this board. It’s confounding to think that they know the diehard fans do not like what they hear from this guy, yet they continue to employ him. The screeching has to STOP. If they won’t replace him, they should be speaking to him about how he can do his job better. It is an embarrassment for the program.

Yep, one would think. No response from Thorr/Athletics on my email. Maybe the evaluation/hiring of the PA position is responsibility of the RC management contract/company?

We're gonna run the picket fence at "em.....now boys don't get caught watchin' the paint dry!
Funny...He was so distracted by his own Tchikou call, that he followed it up by calling the next basket by Foster Loyer a 3 pointer when he was clearly about 5 feet inside the 3 point line. It was in fact scored a 2 pointer.
Yorke should be arrested for assault...on my ears,
domestic abuse of my ear drums,
attempted murder of a microphone,
serial killing player names.
Refs should be calling flagrant fouls on his mouth.

Interesting post to read as I am sitting here on my couch binging Criminal Minds with the Mrs and my dog.

As you can tell, I am not a fan of Dan's, but I think he may have been told to tone it down a bit. I did see him walk over to the refs when they were reviewing a call, and he watched the playback with them. Not sure that is his role, but what do I know?
He is having problems pronouncing David's name correctly, as he pronounced it 3 different ways last night.
He hasn't as obnoxious as he has been in the past, but the season has just begun!

Someone had to say something...or, he reads the board. But, last night, it wasn't just him, the overall noise was toned down enough to actually have a conversation...was much better.

I'd say the overall noise was more annoying last year than York was. You could not even talk to somebody next to you as loud as it often was. Crazy.
Much much better Monday night.
