Good enough to get a lead, not good enough to hold it.

Martin I love, but we’re 4 on 5 offensively with him on the floor. Bassy isn’t an A-10 level player, we turn it over too damn much.

Not going to win many games when our 2 leading scorers go 10-30 and Bray have 7 TOs. Carey was our best player.
Tchikou > Samb all day. Athleticism exposes Samb he needs to add a whole lot more muscle and ball skills if he is going to play below the rim. Umass overplayed our guards and forced them into the trees. They didn’t make good decisions and that’s the game.

This team is horrendous! I never expected Archie to put together such an abysmal roster. Boneheaded plays. Putrid shooting. Not sure how to describe the non-existent defense. How many times did we get beat down the court defensively? We need about 7 new players next year and at least 3 of them have to be starter quality. If not, it’s not gonna be much better than this year.

Bad game. I don’t know if there is enough untapped potential on this current team for the staff to improve enough to win a game in the A10 Tourney. Maybe we win one just because the conf is weak this year and we catch a break on the match up.

Just too many holes on this team to plug and too short handed in the front court.

Are all A10 teams as bad as those we've played so far?
Road wins are going to be hard to get.
Do we have a shutdown defender?
The effort is there but the talent is missing.

It is easy to be critical of many players, but there are no better options.

Yes, yes it is. This current situation is going to challenge every fiber of the “proven winner” coach to build this back better. He may have to adapt and adjust his methodology to get this program back on track. I have the patience, not sure I have the years.

Today would have been one of our best opportunities to grab a road victory.
UMass without Fernandes their best player and leading scorer and also no Luis their 3rd leading scorer.

We shot 37% FG and 21% 3pt, plus got outrebounded 48-36, and 16 turnovers.
Not going to win many games with those stats.

Looking ahead, I don't see many victories in the horizon this season.

This will be a very interesting off-season.

105 nailed it. This will be a major challenge for Archie in a much different environment than his Dayton years. Talent evaluation will be absolutely critical going forward. Can't afford too many more whiffs in his recruiting the next couple of years. Yes patience is needed, but like 105 I dont have forever to see this program become relevant again. By year 3 we need to be competing at the top of the league. No excuses.

I thought Alex played his best game of the year. Very active on the boards. Some great defensive possession. A big block. Ended up with 8 and 6.

When Bray is really bad, we are really bad.

Ish is a stud, but we need someone else to show up.

It seemed like Weston had zero energy. Very odd. I wish we had more designed plays for him. He seems to do a good job of drawing fouls and taking his man 1 on 1.

Malik needs to be better as a 5th year senior.

Carey was awesome in the second half.

Is Lou that bad that he's not getting any minutes on this team? He had some nice moments earlier in the season.

Bassy is a perfect option for a low major. Cam Esteves already has a better offensive game, and I expect him to take most of Bassy's minutes next season if he's still here.

I thought Frank out-coached Archie. His defensive adjustments hurt our team in the second half. It looked like Baron ball to me today. A bunch of guards dribbling and dribbling, going 1 on 1 while other guys stood around. Our plays out of timeouts were brutal.. Why did we stick to aggressive man-to-man when we were literally fouling OVER and OVER? I get being aggressive late, but it wasn't working the entire second half, and we did nothing different.

I'm frustrated. I didn't think we would be this bad. I didn't think our best player would be a Cox player. I expected more, and maybe I'm just pissed after a bad loss, but you lose by 10 to an average team missing its two best players? Bad loss and, in my opinion, another weak coaching job by Archie.

Malik shouldn’t be getting this much time on the court. He isn’t consistent enough on offense. I also don’t get why Hutchinson suddenly stopped playing.

We don't have any offense down low so it is more difficult to get open outside shots. Samb way too soft and has no presence at all on offense and defense. Gotta try playing Alex a lot more.

I don’t think we threw the ball into the post once all game. It’s tough to run offense when your 5 man is a complete non factor. And sometimes you don’t have to pay much attention to our 4 man either. That’s 3 vs 5 on offense and there isn’t a scheme out there that can overcome that.

Not sure if either Alex or Abdou have a role next year but Alex is way more active and athletic and has a much higher ceiling it’s not even close. He’s still raw as hell and may never find it but if I’m being patient with 1 of them it’s him. He needs to get stronger.

Couldn't have said it any better. Archie isn't getting $8.5 million over 5 years to maybe make the NCAA tournament in Year 4 or beat UMass Lowell in overtime. The Lady Rams will draw bigger crowds if that happens.

. Malik only got 18 minutes today and regarding Hutchinson; he has proven that his defense is just plain awful. Hard to win when you have 6’2 Ish guarding 6’7 Cross an entire game. Kinda of agree with you on Martin and Archie, Martin always seemed to be adjusting, changing and throwing surprises which we obviously did not handle well. Eg a little bit of zone

Of course, Archie does not have as many options on his bench but didn’t Archie still have us only down by about 5:with less than 5 min to go ?

I also don’t get why Hutchinson suddenly stopped playing.

Yeah sorry, I just mean in general, his offense isn't good. 4 pts today for the most experienced guy on the team is pretty bad. Archie needs to figure this rotation out. It's still unclear who the starters are. I think Tchikou > Samb

The Bassy slander on here is just crazy to me. Remember, he was supposed to redshirt last year but was able to find a role on a team with some solid experienced guards. I think he can be a great energy guy off the bench in the A10 by his senior year.

Road wins are going to be hard to get.
Do we have a shutdown defender?
The effort is there but the talent is missing.

It is easy to be critical of many players, but there are no better options.
Kind of how I feel about this team . We try hard but are just lacking in talent

I still love Arch but I’m hoping he can get the right talent in here to get us towards the top of the league
