247 and Rivals both list him as a 2022 recruit.

The recruiting section here may have less action than it had with Cox, Archie and company work extra quiet.

I can’t imagine they would have been after him as a ‘23. They need players now.

I wonder how this commitment effects Duru and possibly Femi?

Plenty of room, I would still take Femi, Duru, and/or Weston.

This roster has a handful of players from a bad team, a guy no one really knows much about, and Freeman. Seems like there’s room for anyone who wants to come aboard.

Excellent article, Rhody Blue. Thanks for posting it.rhodyblue12 wrote: ↑2 years ago Looks like a really good signing:

I read it quickly and a few things jumped out at me…
Th first thing the article lists is that Louis is a high character guy. It also goes on to describe that he has a high bb IQ and very good work ethic (I’m paraphrasing).
Sounds like Archie’s type of player, especially his measurables, too: long, fast, etc.
What I also found interesting is Louis’ description of the type of coach he desires to play for: a confident, winning culture building coach, etc. He lists many of the traits I believe Archie possesses.
Anyway, it is an excellent article and gives very good insight into Louis. Definitely worth the 5 minutes to read.

My favorite part about this kid is that he lists his GPA in his Twitter bio.

I believe you are correct and, damn, I am not happy about less action because I have too much time on my hands.
It looks like I am going to have to be really, really patient and wait until the signings are announced to get my KB recruiting news fix.
I hope the dam breaks soon.

I absolutely agree with you, I hope they think so too. Mostly I was referring to their duplicity in positional skills. All three are wing players. Certainly Duru and Hutchison are pretty similar skill-wise. You're right about bodies, there's lots of room for players

My very first class at URI was in Ballentine. Walked in about 8:04 and stumbled over something. Prof just glared at me stone cold silence. Went right over to admin and filled out a drop form. Had no chance. Luckily didn’t buy the books…theblueram wrote: ↑2 years ago Another out of the blue recruit! Can't wait for November. He's going to love Ballentine Hall.

Hah. Yeah business school is pretty hard. The math is hard, the Finance is hard, the Accounting is hard. But, if you love math and business the professors are great people. I still talk to my professors today. I graduated in 93.hrstrat57 wrote: ↑2 years agoMy very first class at URI was in Ballentine. Walked in about 8:04 and stumbled over something. I second that. I graduated in 95'. Our paths had to have crossed at some point at Ballentine and Chaffee or Keaney.theblueram wrote: ↑2 years agoHah. Yeah business school is pretty hard. Re: 22’ MD G/F Louis Hutchinson (URI Verbal Commit)
I have never understood the idea that seems to have been accepted as fact here that one guy is being held up waiting for another guy that the staff is prioritizing more. I mean, I get from a player standpoint why that might be a factor but as far as the staff holding off a commitment it makes zero sense considering the current roster situation. Get as many talented guys in the door as you can and sort it out in the fall.

Re: 22’ MD G/F Louis Hutchinson (URI Verbal Commit)
Archie wants to be fair and upfront with the recruits on expectations- especially transfer who are making their one no sit move. If a transfer believes he is going to start (or should) and he doesn’t you end up with an unhappy player probably looking to transfer again. I think it’s a lot different with a high school recruit.TruePoint wrote: ↑2 years agoI have never understood the idea that seems to have been accepted as fact here that one guy is being held up waiting for another guy that the staff is prioritizing more. Archie is building for the long haul. The three committed players all have four years of eligibility. Don’t expect a quick fix next year.
