Re: Femi Odukale
Very productive at Pitt, competing with a bunch of P6 teams for him.
Would a huge get, equivalent I’d say to Dayton getting Camara from Georgia.

Ah, missed this thread the other day - I'll do a proper profile later today or tomorrow. (Assuming he doesn't sign somewhere else in the meantime.)

Re: Femi Odukale
Maybe y’all forgot but this is going to be the norm if you want to land top A10 talent. Archie isn’t trying to beat out Norfolk St like Cox was. We will need to beat out some great programs on a regular basis.PeterRamTime wrote: ↑2 years ago Dang more competition...

Re: Femi Odukale
The majority of transfers are not making their decisions based on campus life.
Odukale can start and get major minutes at URI. I don’t know enough about all of the other programs to know if that would be the case there. People can complain all they want about transfers, but it helps programs at all levels. Without it, Archie would be looking at a bench full of guys who had to sit out or who were ‘22 or JUCO reaches.

Re: Femi Odukale
Man, I view Femi as a high major player so I expected him to land at a Big East, Big 10 type program. If Archie gets this done I may need to stop saying it's gonna take a few years for us to compete near the top of the A10. This kid is a player and would be a monster in the A10.
Let's go Archie!!

Re: Femi Odukale
Only question on him is his shooting. Although he did improve from the line from 49% as a frosh to 63% as a soph.

Re: Femi Odukale
Not great from the line but we would have killed for a 33% 3 point shooter on the wing last year and I'll take it now too.Billyboy78 wrote: ↑2 years ago Only question on him is his shooting. Although he did improve from the line from 49% as a frosh to 63% as a soph.

With Malik and if we were to get Femi I wonder if Durugordon would be out. The 3 of them seem like similar players.

Re: Femi Odukale
10.4 pts per game, 3.3 rebounds, 3.5 assists per game in the ACC games this past year, so not like he feasted on bad competition in the non-conference then faded when the competition got stiffer

Re: Femi Odukale
How Femi is a PG (lead Pitt in ast last year) more worried about Diggins unless he ok with playing off the ball, Malik and Sean are both wings who slot in the 3/4 spot Femi would slide in at the 1, and would be a nightmare matchup for apposing A10 teams

Re: Femi Odukale
I don't know much about Femi, have never seen him play, but just looking at the numbers I'm not sure the 33% tells the whole story. He only took a few 3's per game and hit 1 per game (30 total). Maybe his game changes if he comes here, but it doesn't seem like he is really a prolific 3 point shooter at this point.Big Rhody Guy wrote: ↑2 years agoNot great from the line but we would have killed for a 33% 3 point shooter on the wing last year and I'll take it now too.Billyboy78 wrote: ↑2 years ago Only question on him is his shooting. Re: Femi Odukale
Yeah Femi is a really goood defender and rebounder. He can knock down the 3 but prefers to get down hill towards the rim. Very good first step quickness and good finisher with contact at the rim. He is more of a slasher. He also is pretty good stopping on a dime and using his mid range.adam914 wrote: ↑2 years agoI don't know much about Femi, have never seen him play, but just looking at the numbers I'm not sure the 33% tells the whole story. I might move him off the ball. Looks like an off guard.

Re: Femi Odukale
Malik is only going to be here for one season. I also think Durugordon is a different player than Femi. He’s a legit two-way wing that could possible play the 4 for us at times....Femi is more an off guard. It’s tough to find talented two-way wings. I love Malik, but Durugordon has way more upside. We definitely would want to land him and Femi

Yeah, that’s the ticket. Hahaha!
ECR is like to this board is like a patient with his heart stopped getting hit with the paddles. It’s a lazy Friday…where’s ECR??? I need a jolt because 72 has me down by asking (yesterday in the transfer carousel thread): do we have any players yet?

Don’t think Femi has IG so can’t get a flavor of his visit.
