There was someone in a Rhody jersey a few rows behind the Friar bench in Queens last night. Was that one of y’all?

I saw that too. They were clearly rooting for PC given where they were sitting and it showed them reacting to a bad call on PC. Not something you see every day I had to rewind my DVR to see if I saw it correctly.

I’ve seen people at The Ryan Center wear PC gear and cheer for Rhody as well.

To each is own, and if someone didn’t graduate from either school or have ties to either school, there’s plenty who cheer for both teams.

It is puzzling though to wear a shirt to a game with the other teams logo on it.

Yeah - If you didn't attend either school, but you're from Rhode Island, it's not unusual to root for both. Or, say, to go and cheer for Brown football.

Dayton at VCU - Dayton up 12 at halftime. It was tied at 14 then Dayton is just playing better and VCU not taking care of the ball.

The biggest difference in PC this year is the addition of Durham and Minaya. A go to guy who can score off the dribble and a defensive stopper who hits timely threes. They aren’t 19-2 without those transfers.

Yes, I knew they would be impact transfers adding to returnees Watson, Bynum, Reeves, Horchler., and Crosswell.

Durham is an unbelievable weapon in end of shot clock and end of game situations. He may not be as athletically gifted as Duke was but he's a better basketball player IMO and for that team he's a better fit. They lost a guy to the NBA and got better with his replacement. That's really working the portal well. On top of that Minaya and their role players have been really good and Watson has been Watson.

I remember a time when people here said Durham wouldn’t be an impact player for them lol

Tyler Burton hits for 37 points and 7 rebounds as Richmond beats St Bonaventure 71-61. Richmond was 3.5 point favorites.

Bonnies fall to 4-4 in A10 - say it ain't so Mark Schmidt.

Jeez Tyler Burton and we didn’t even recruit him and he’s local

Hmm

Maybe the Bonnies should have invested in some depth in the offseason.

I was never a believer in them being that good. Experienced and not that talented or athletic.

I'd still bet they cut down the nets in the A-10 tourney though.

The honeymoon between Hurley and UConn fans is clearly over following the two losses this week.

Villanova dominated UConn today from start to finish, 85-74.

They thought they did improve their depth between the transfers and freshman.

Most of their fans felt their bench is much better this year than last season.

UConn fans really expect to contend for a national championship....with their resources they should.

Not saying Dan can't do it at some point, but the natives are restless, and some of them are blaming US for it!

They don't have that go to guy that they had when they won their titles.....

UConn is missing a bucket getter / scorer. They are athletic AF and can turn up the noise on defense but they do not have enough scoring. Put Durham on UConn and they are having the season PC is having if not better. They are missing a 6’4/6’5 guard who can get his own shot and open the floor for others.

They hit a little hiccup losing at home to Creighton then at a solid Villanova team

I kind of think they need to at least get to the round of 32 this year to still be on the upward path , a loss in the 1st round again would definitely get their fans in a hizzy

Hawkins has been disappointing. It’s tough to have to rely on a freshman, but he was expected to be better than he’s shown so far. I’m actually more disappointed in their defense.

There are way more opinions than what you all read on message boards. Can you imagine if others took some of the views on here as representing every Rhody fan? Some of you do like your drama. Of course expectations are high at UConn, but don’t get it twisted.

RJ may be back for another year. If not, they have Diggins, Floyd, and a possible reclass at guard along with Gaffney and Jackson, plus Akok, Johnson, Clingan, Karaban, Hawkins, and Sanogo. There’s a lot of youth there, but it’s not exactly the bare cupboard scenario you’re presenting.

Sorry Ace, I should have clarified my comment to refer to the PG position only. They could use some more help there.

They have a lot of overall talent, but as we know, having great PG's are the key to a deep run in the NCAA tourney.

They haven't been winning nearly as many close games as PC has been doing.

And anybody who thinks Dan would come back here, is more than a little delusional.
