Ranked #51 in A10 in FG% at only 40.6%

Ranked #51 in A10 in 3PFG% at an atrocious 17.4% hitting only 4-23.

He’s a scorer, a gunner, a ball hog, he is not a shooter.

If I thought Daly was playing I’d have bet twice as much on URI (-12) today than I already did.

Points scored per game is a deceptive number - scoring efficiency is the key.

He’s not the best player on his team by accident (efficiency aside). The other guys on his team would have even worse shooting % if they HAD to take as many shots as him

He is a terrible shooter.
But he scores a lot of points because he takes a ton of shots.
But most sportswriters and fans love the points per game statistic.

You’re aware we’re talking about St Joes right? Take a look at the stats of the other players on the roster. The hawks aren’t feeding Ryan Daly the ball over Jordan and Lebron. He’s the best shooter they have.

Best scorer
Not the best shooter

28-69 FG = 40.6% 51st in A10
4-23 3FG = 17.4% 51st in A10 (worse than Russell’s 21%)
26-37 FT = 68.4%

Throw any stat you want out there. When I watch St. Joes it's obvious who the best player is

Last season we played them twice. In the first game, Daly dropped 21, 7 rebs, 3 assists. We went down at half but ended up winning by 10. In the second game, Daly didn't play, and we won by 18. Their high scorer had 10 pts.

Wrong. He actually has the highest career FG% of any guard on their roster

Daly - 42.5%
Bishop - 31%
Forrest - 39%
Foster - 25%
Moore - 38.9%
Brown - 40.5%

And to do that at the volume he does for them? Wildly impressive

Good then - I’ll bite.
We should demolish St Joe’s today well beyond what I originally thought

Without their best player my 12 points will be “taking candy from a baby”

I just tripled my bet

No wonder St Joes is 0-6

Daly ruled out but Point Spread has stayed at 12.

They may be 0-6 but not exactly a cupcake schedule, only bad loss was to Drexel
Others include Auburn in OT, Kansas, Tennessee, Villanova, and VCU.

We shouldn't take any team lightly and they do play us tough.
We need a convincing win here to boost our confidence.

They especially looked good against Auburn. If they make threes they can be difficult.

Agreed these turnovers are beyond painful, but in all reality they’re so bad I’m not even sure how to “coach” them. And it isn’t isolated to one person so not like you can just bench that player either

And nevermind the fact they've played great team basketball for stretches in the first handful of games. So it's not like they haven't shown what this team is capable of.
