If you’re gonna blame Carey for the foul, blame Harris for not boxing out and allowing the offensive rebound as well.
Don’t pick and choose who to criticize.

Says the guy that only loves to criticize Harris...you have anything positive to say about Jermaine’s game tonight?
In my previous post I said we had a Jermaine Harris sighting tonight.wpbrown8267 wrote: ↑3 years agoSays the guy that only loves to criticize Harris...you have anything positive to say about Jermaine’s game tonight?
Oh, I guess not since you have it out for the kid...gtfo go to the PC board
Good for you champ...you threw in “rare” in that previous post, so still throwing shade. I guess that’s something positive from youRhody15 wrote: ↑3 years agoIn my previous post I said we had a Jermaine Harris sighting tonight.wpbrown8267 wrote: ↑3 years agoSays the guy that only loves to criticize Harris...you have anything positive to say about Jermaine’s game tonight?

Came back and played a heck of a game today.KingstonLane wrote: ↑3 years ago Anyone tell Sheppard this game started at 4? Has looked asleep on multiple plays
We should not be a "mid pack" team. Time is ticking.section(105) wrote: ↑3 years ago ......of course we will have to play better........with downs and ups of a mid pack conference team......that is what to expect......
I would buy the "odd man break" excuse earlier in the season, but he's been calling timeouts like that all year. I actually was ok with the timeout thinking he was taking Mitchell out, but I was wrong..KingstonLane wrote: ↑3 years ago You guys really aren’t watching huh? They had an odd man break if we don’t take that TO
.......and to quote posters from a while back.......”who sits......”rhodyfan3000 wrote: ↑3 years ago At some point, maybe you say, start Shep and Ish and see what they can do at the beginning of the game together. Might see some better cohesion early on, set the tone of the game.

.......OK.......but, even though they are on semester break......maybe there is not enough time to fix the stupid stuff......”can’t fix stupid” comes to mind......

72 pointed out the stunning gaff of fouling up 8 with 18s left. I coached 14 yo’s who didn’t have to be told not to do that.
Great CYO story earlier 105. I had 27 points in a Cadet game in a low ceiling gym like that. I just stood in the corner and made 10 deep balls. 4 seven minute quarters nobody ever covered me. The older we get the better we used to be lol...

.......yeah funny the CYO stuff, moving to Jr. High the coach neva understood why I was often shooting from the left side corner of offense, as a righty, until I told him the porch roof stuck out into the driveway on the right side....back to regular scheduled programming......
A rare sighting?Rhody15 wrote: ↑3 years agoIn my previous post I said we had a Jermaine Harris sighting tonight.wpbrown8267 wrote: ↑3 years agoSays the guy that only loves to criticize Harris...you have anything positive to say about Jermaine’s game tonight?

St. Bonaventure will be top 6 in the league this year. That was an upper third win. It was ugly as hell, but we won. That is what good teams do. We are on our way. IF we clean it up, we could be a great team.rambone 78 wrote: ↑3 years ago Players who keep making stupid plays need to sit.
24 turnovers.
Yep, a bad team beat a worse team today.
People keep talking about how talented we are.
Maybe physically we are, but not in the space between their ears. Some not as much as others, of course.
It's up to the staff to correct this if at all possible.
However, the coach keeps making the same mistakes too.
Mid pack A10 might be too kind right now. Maybe because most of the league stinks.
We are MILES from being good.
At their current level of play, a .500 record seems about right.

- Harris was the 1st player off the bench for Cox
- Harris played 26 minutes - 4th highest for the team
- Perfect offensively 3-3 FG, 2-2 FT
- Harris a Game High Tied for Rebounds with 10 (Walker also had 10)
- Harris with 1 assist, 1 block, 1 steal, 2 TOs
- He helped to hold arguably the best center in the A10, Osunniyi, to 8 points, 4-12 FG, only 4 rebounds, 2 TOs, 27 minutes and he fouled out
- URI has been out-rebounded 302 to 277 in 8 games (37.8 to 34.6 rpg) Today URI 42 Rebounds to 29 for SBU - huge difference maker
- Harris and Walker with 10 rebounds each in 26 and 27 minutes respectively
.......at this point, for me it is both......Billyboy78 wrote: ↑3 years ago We had almost 2 weeks to prepare for this game. It was obvious that after playing a lot of games in the first week at Mohegan that one thing we needed was a lot of practice time. Cox said that with this extended break and multiple days of practice without games, that they would be going back to basics and working on fundamentals. Did that look like a fundamentally sound team? Either we have players who are unable to learn fundamentals or a coaching staff that is not good at teaching them. Take your pick.
I don’t know, I thought I saw the team attempt to play a little more in control, they just aren’t clicking yet together. Some good passes that were missed by the recipients on several possessions, just the kind of plays that come with playing together more minutes. If they are still playing this way in mid January then we have a problem (either coaching or players), but this was a good win against a very solid team.section(105) wrote: ↑3 years ago.......at this point, for me it is both......Billyboy78 wrote: ↑3 years ago We had almost 2 weeks to prepare for this game. One of the most important fundamentals of basketball is taking care of the ball. We failed miserably at that today.rhodylaw wrote: ↑3 years agoI don’t know, I thought I saw the team attempt to play a little more in control, they just aren’t clicking yet together. He got pulled for a bad sequence of pulling from three super early in the shot clock and then goaltending to give an and 1. Idk if anyone else noticed but that was like his 10th goaltend this year so prob a point of contentionJersey77 wrote: ↑3 years ago I didn't watch the game, but looks like DJ may currently be the odd man out. After averaging almost 18 minutes through the first 8 games, only played 5 minutes today. Unless he got banged up, Cox had him on a short leash and with the strong play of Walker and JH his minutes may continue to dwindle.
Maybe I am reading too much into it.
