Fatts needs offense/defense substitutions late in the game. His on-ball D plays great mid-game with the steals, but he gets abused late.

Carter Collins had 15 points in the first half with Fatts covering him - and I use the term “covering” loosely.
Collins was 8-14 FG for 22 points which was 1 short of his career high. I’ve questioned Russell’s defense all year. He plays way too loose on his man.

I disagree, I think the current starting 5 is fine. But I think Ish should play more than Carey and if Sheppard is off, like tonight, then limit his minutes as well. Also the jury is still out for me regarding Betrand but I could see him getting more run as well. Of course if Harris is out now as well, then I suppose Walker and DJ will need to play some backup Center - opening more forward minutes.

All of a sudden he looks like Langevine at the ft line. can't anybody on this team shoot a basketball ? They basically took the ball to the rim and threw it up hoping it might go in . that has to stop . Use the backboard . This is the worst URI team I have seen in several years .I think we
have severely overrated the transfers to this point. Maybe they are not comfortable yet, I don't know. Right now to me it looks like Leggett is the only player with confidence other Martin tonight onlyt. They were not even playing a good team tonight . Davidson embarrassed them by playing with poise and patience . All they had to do was hit a few shots to win . This was as disappointing as it gets for me.

By “talent” you mean rankings. Because the majority of the “talent” has proven nothing at the D1 level. And they’ve proved nothing together seeing how it’s a whole new team.

And most people should know any recruit ranked outside the Top 20/25 is all a crapshoot.

But people still want to wear their Keaney Blue blinders, which is fine. If you want to get disappointed every season expecting a tourney birth, be my guest.

You're not wrong, I was thinking about defending guys closer to his size with my comment. Fatts is not really suited to guard a 6'3" guy like Collins at all, which is a problem seeing as only so many teams have 6'/sub-6' PGs.
