It was actually worse than the score, SH was up by 30 before they emptied the bench with 3-4 minutes left.

Davidson doesn't seem to have a big man that can play in the paint. I'm sure they will make their standard 20 (exaggerated) 3s against us.

Just tuned in (PC/Davidson) in time to hear the announcer slobbering over the A10.. "high major conference"...that was cool.
Nice comeback in this one by the Wildcat.

Typical Davidson never getting any marquee wins in the non conference just to mess everything up in conference play.

PC tried so hard to lose that game, two missed front ends of 1-and-1 FTs. That kid on Davidson missed the easy layup, he had an open lane from a good screen by his teammate and didn't realize he could slow down on the finish.

Both teams weren’t very impressive and PC didn’t look good at all vs IU on Monday. Watson was the only bright spot vs Davidson. I know everyone talks about David Duke being a top player but I never am amazed watching his game. Nice kid and an above average player, but not great IMO.

I don’t know how you miss that shot at the end of the game! Perfect opportunity for Davidson to get a win against the Big East.

Thursday games of interest include a ESPN doubleheader with UConn facing USC at 7 PM followed by BC versus Florida at 9:30 PM.

Also, Arizona State travels to Berkeley to meet California at 10 PM.

14 games on today's schedule have been either cancelled or postponed and that includes Fordham's game against Manhattan, Western Kentucky vs. Prairie View A&M, and a Big Five contest between Temple and Villanova.

With the number of OOC games being cancelled rises almost every day, there's going to be a big problem once league play starts.
There's no way that the season will be completed in the normal time frame [early March].....

There's not enough days off in between league games to reschedule them.

If the NCAA is going to require leagues to finish their schedules, the NCAA tourney will be delayed until sometime in April, or even May.

That's the only way this will work imo. Fortunately the vaccines could save the day by then.

In relevant action last night:

Florida trounced BC, 90-70. Other than the first three minutes, the contest was not close.

#25 Arizona State led all the way in a win over Cal, 70-62.

In Friday action

Seton Hall plays Oregon in Omaha, NE. 9 PM. On FS1

Nine games have been cancelled or postponed including Duquesne at Winthrop, George Mason at Maryland, Little Rock at Western Kentucky and, of course, URI at BC.

Playing these OOC marquee programs gets them prepared for a tough Big 10 schedule and definitely helps in recruiting

If you get a chance watch Marcus Zegarowski from Creighton play, this kid is solid. He is the favorite for preseason All Big East POY and an All American. I am amazed that Creighton was able to pluck him from New England where he played at Tilton.

I saw him several times in HS. We were recruiting him. He's damn good. As far as plucking from New England, Preston Murphy. That's all.

Preston Murphy is certainly a great recruiter, It won't be long before he ends up at another Div.1 program. A part of me hopes that one day he will be back on our staff.

Oregon starting point guard Will Richardson is out, injured his thumb this week in practice, needed surgery. They do get LJ Figueroa who just got his waiver approved this week, after transferring from St. Johns, he was their leading scorer last year.

The point about Preston and Marcus Zegarowski is that Preston was recruiting him to come to URI. The relationship between them continued when Preston went to Creighton and Marcus signed there. Obviously a great signing as he is now one of the best players in the country.

I like the #4 Wisconsin vs Marquette game tonight at 7pm. Wisconsin is favored by 4.5
Interesting ... Marquette didn’t back out of a rivalry game against its state’s flagship university.
Great game tonight!
#4 Ranked Wisconsin scored with 9 seconds to go to lead by 1
Wisconsin fouled with only .9 seconds left - Marquette player was driving, not shooting.
Marquette to line with 62% FT Shooter. He made the 1st to tie the game. Missed the 2nd off the front rim
Justin Lewis tapped the ball off the rebound in for 2 points. Marquette did not box out as well as they should have. Game over. Exciting finish.

Marquette is 77 miles from Wisconsin (Madison) a 1 hour 15 minute drive
Rivalry has Gond over 100 years, 127 games
Catholic School vs Public State University
Milwaukee Big City vs Madison smaller college town

Marquette now has Wisconsin-Green Bay and UCLA remaining before starting Mig East Play - no easy games remaining

Game was on Friday Night - December 4 on FS1. Same night PC-URI was to have taken place.

What a shame PC and URI could not keep their game. Ed Cooley, Bob Driscoll, Thorr Bjorn and David Cox collectively couldn't make if work. Reasons arise, it was a shame. Other schools made their rivalry games work. Two Schools in the State of Rhode Island couldn't. Sad.
