'11 MD G Ty Johnson (S. Carolina Transfer)
Ty Johnson is leaving Villanova. 4 star recruit ... three years eligibility remaining... as a PG doesn't seem to fit URI's needs, but he is NJ player.
"Every season, college basketball has one or two teams that rise from dormancy to relevancy, squads that make long-awaited charges at the NCAA Tournament and become really fun storylines along the way."

He transferred to Montrose down here in Maryland for his senior year. Not sure if he's tied in completely in NJ hoop circles.

He played AAU ball in Jersey. One year in Md. doesn't mean he's not from NJ.
