If we won both games this week it would fix our problems.

How hard is it to get a road win vs a top 50 NET team?

27 out of the 36 teams projected to be in the field as at-large bids (bracket matrix) have ZERO top 50 road wins.

No school in the country has more than 2.

It's like yesterdays win has given us a second chance.

Won't mean much if we stumble again though.

Winning consistently is what makes a tournament team. This team hasn’t shown it yet. Haven’t had more than a 3 game winning streak.

I still think 11-4 (doesn’t matter who we beat) the rest of the way puts us in position to earn an at-large spot with a solid showing in the A-10 tourney.

11-4 the rest of the way puts us on the bubble but we need a win against Dayton and another vs. VCU among those wins.

If the 4 losses are 2 to Dayton, VCU or St. Louis, and say another to a bottom feeder, won't be good enough.

Anyway, have to start being more consistent and win a bunch in a row for any of this to matter.

FWIW...... as long as our NET is 75 or less (currently 66) everyone who comes to the RC is looking for a Q1 win.

We do need to concentrate on winning games, but us being in some brackets proves that games STILL matter.

Some posters said the season was over after our losses to Brown and Richmond. One said the rest of the games mine as well be exhibitions.

We still have hope!!!! Just win!!!

after those two losses I was told not to talk about the NET or any ratings systems anymore. Several posters thought the season was over, even before the Conference play had really begun and we were (0-1) in A10. Even now there are a 15 Conference Games to go - we are only 16.6% of the way through Conference Games. Tons of basketball to be played.

Don’t look now, but as of yesterday we have another Q2 win in North Texas neutral, as they have entered the NET top-100. Nobody here seems to pay much mind to that one, but it could pay dividends.

URI now up to 63 up 3 spots from 66 before last nights game. Bama with their win over Auburn has moved from 58 to 44. PC biggest stretch is coming in the next 5 games. They have an extremely tough 5 game stretch with 3 of them on the road. This will determine the quality of win URI has over them as it currently stands at 85. North texas moved into the 100 Net rankings at 99 as well. Hopefully these wins can continue to improve alongwith URI hopefully handling business on the court themselves.

that Bama win last night is a two edged sword. While it helps our NET, they may be one of the teams we are fighting with for a birth. All things being equal, NCAA may look at Bama's win home against Auburn as being better than our win at home against Bama.

By double digits on the road, plus PC and Alabama with big wins? I know there are other factors , but I've seen bigger jumps with a less successful night before.

Why do people keep spelling berth "birth'?

Our NET would have been 40-45 if we had beaten Brown. Solid bubble territory.

That still stings.

VCU 50
St Louis 51
Duquesne 53
Richmond 59
URI 63

All five teams have a home game vs Dayton. Someone is going to get a big jump for beating them. (Like Alabama moving from 58 to 44 for a home win vs Auburn). Although Dayton looks great, they will only be a slight favorite in these games. Hard to expect them to win all 5.

I HATE how our home game against Dayton is Senior Night, at 9 pm, on a Wednesday. That trio of day of the week / time / special occasion is brutal. May be tough to make that game a sellout.

Bama's gotta jump 9 more spots in the NET, i believe, then it will a Q1 win thus helping us. I highly doubt PC jumps that high but should maintain a Q2 win.

obviously a wednesday nignt at 9pm is less than ideal, but special occasion and opponent will help attendance

He is not big enough to be a 5 in the NBA. He is not a good enough ball handler or shooter (at this point) to be a stretch 4/3. He is also a very old sophomore with theoretically less time to progress than others. The top half of the first round in the NBA draft is always packed with younger guys with higher ceilings in Euros. Very few guys Obi's age that don't scream NBA superstar (not NCAA superstar) are taken in the lottery.
