Re: Week #6 - Games of Interest
I watched the 1st half of the PC game...I was impressed by the Friars' defense...
The 2nd half, it was terrible. Gave up 54 points!
Stony Brook isn't even as good as last year.
Something is definitely missing in Friartown.

Re: Week #6 - Games of Interest
Worth noting that Providence had its smallest crowd (5,861) of the season for the Stony Brook game on a Saturday at 8pm. This was a drop of almost 5,000 from their last home game against Penn which was also a Saturday. The steep decline was very likely attributed to the Friars recent on court slide having lost four of their last five games. As has been often noted, winning directly influences attendance more than any other factor. It is this way for nearly every school.
PC, which has led all schools in New England for attendance the last several years, still has good numbers. The school has drawn 47,029 to its six YTD home games for an average of 7,838. Attendance typically increases as the competition gets better with Big East conference play.

Re: Week #6 - Games of Interest
Something tells me that PC probably wont ever get it together this year....
I guess the only bright spot I saw was that Pipkins and Duke scored 21 each.
If that can become common place for them, then maybe they can become a good win for us down the road.
Sorry but I'm rooting like crazy for them the rest of the year, like it would help A LOT, obviously if they can become worth a damn.
Alabama looks more likely to become something of a good win.
In the meantime, let's get our most quality win of the season on saturday...
Also, go A-10 pile up them victories!

I am guessing that the 5,861 is actual tickets scanned. I believe PC has around 7,500 season ticket holders.RF1 wrote: ↑4 years ago Worth noting that Providence had its smallest crowd (5,861) of the season for the Stony Brook game on a Saturday at 8pm. Folks, I'm starting to think Fordham might not be good.

Funny scene 30 seconds into the video clip. The young fan to the right is wearing @RhodyMBB swearshirt. Diallo and Pipkins take his Rhody gear off. It’s not a rivalry.

Loving this Woffard-UNC game. It's always a good day when the shill Bilass has nothing to say.

Great win by Wofford. Made UNC look pedestrian.

Re: Week #6 - Games of Interest
Fordham lays another egg. Attendance was at 1500 but looked a whole lot less on tv. A10 needs to cut ties unless Fordham commits to the program.

Replace Fordham with Manhattan at least!
Geez.
Wofford used a lot of the guys from last years 30 win team to beat down overrated UNC.

Re: Week #6 - Games of Interest
UNC was missing a Top 5 draft pick in Cole Anthony with a knee injury, and lost their stud freshman big man a couple weeks ago to an ankle injury. Rest of the roster isn't up to UNC standards.

Still though UNC was favored by 12 points and lost by 4. UNC should still not lose to Wofford. Doesn’t bode well for upcoming ACC play.

Looks like assault to me. Stay classy, Fryizz — if that’s even remotely possible.

But they don’t take his shirt off if it’s a UCONN sweatshirt. But I digress....

Show that video to Coach K I mean Cooley and see if he thinks his program is holier than thou and above calling us a rival.
