This league will be a proven loser, basketball-wise, football-wise, and whichever networks secured it money-wise! I wonder if the networks have out-clauses written in the contract????????
The name is awful, the logo is awful.
Someone could have gone to any number of Providence-area graffiti-artists, given 10 of them some parameters, 10-Grand each, a deadline, and picked something 100% more exciting than that…..
I guarantee they're going to change the conference's name within three years!

The city of Memphis was very supportive of the CUSA tournament selling it out year after year. My guess is that is why it was chosen. It also has Beale Street and Graceland which will give people other things to do.

Basically, it is the C-USA. People will be there to see hometown Memphis and others will travel to follow the other regional/semi-regional teams:Louisville, Central Florida, Houston, SMU, Cincinnati, and South Florida. The other teams, Rutgers,Temple, and UConn, well, how great do their fans travel? UConn, yes; the others, whatever…..
Then, they add what? East Carolina, Tulane and Tulsa for 2014. They lose Louisville and Rutgers.
You can have Beale Street, Memphis BBQ, Elvis, and so on. Their overall basketball product will not be good in two years. No one will care. It will be Memphis wins tourney, just as in the past. The rest, mierda…….
Cincinnati has gone full-circle. Their President and AD must feel like they've done the "Full Monty!" Totally exposed as inept and greedy.
