LSU is looking very strong first 10 minutes of the game.
Going to need to give everything we've got and then some with 3pt defense

This must be a really bad half by Utah. I haven't watched them yet this year but I'm not yet impressed by the #15 team (I know, rankings mean nothing this early).

Worst possible result for us. They blow a 15 point lead and lose in the last minute. Morons.

I don't think this result will mean a whole lot come Sunday.

I'm sure Cox and staff got a good look at them tonight.

There will a lot more points scored too....the game will play much more uptempo than tonight's.

If we win, it will still end up being a Q1 win at the end of the season.

I think this will make it a much more difficult game now than if LSU had won. Bottom line is we need to play much better offensively than tonight to have a shot at beating LSU,

Davidson lost by 12 against Wake Forest. Now have a 2-3 record.
Add that to their loss against UNC Charlotte and they are hurting their at large chances.
Opens the door for Rhody to be the 3rd A10 team.

Davidson is gonna sit there and beat nobody good ever and put it together and ruin shit towards the end of the year.

Mckillop needs to recruit some dumb athletes to compliment his fundamentally sound players that rely too much on the three.

This statement is 100% true. They will end up 14-4 in the A-10 and be looking to get in the tourney for finishing second in the A-10 despite an awful non conference performance. They are always a great shooting team with terrific fundamentals and more set plays than I see from any other teams, but the lack of athleticism usually keeps them from beating any top end teams.

Wow did Xavier blow that OT lead. Up 5 with 36 seconds left. Turnover on trap at half court and fouls (stop the clock and give up 2 FTs).
The foul is a reach in 5th foul on Xavier’s best player (and ballhandler).
Go 1-2 twice from the line.
Still up 5 with 21 seconds left.
UConn hits to FTs with 15 seconds left.
Xavier travels on inbounds play.
UConn misses three. Bouknight gets the rebound scores and is fouled (how can you foul there) with 7 seconds left.
Hits FT To tie it. Xavier comes down and launches 30 footer with 3 seconds left.
Double OT.

Bishop struggling mightily. Ill advised shots, turnover and missed FT. Played when Scruggs had 4 fouls and then we he fouled out.

It’s not often than senior guards will kill you and yet, Vital and Gilbert were awful. They’ll eventually be starting two freshmen, maybe even by Sunday if Akok’s not too banged up, so the future looks ok.

The only good thing Gilbert does is shoot free throws like 9 for 9

Bouknight is going to be a good one

Vital and Gilbert are Ollie's players.

Bouknight will be very good.

My guess is, UConn will be very good....next year. Dan will be playing his own players.

Perfect timing for joining the BE. PC is going to regret them being in the league, although it will make the conference stronger.

A friend of mine who went to UConn thinks moving to the Big East is a mistake. It will kill football but also be bad for hoops in the long run. Not sure if I agree on the latter. Time will tell.

Great job by Dan. His intensity permeates thru the team. It shows on defense and their fight to never give up. UConn played great D vs Xavier and show tremendous grit/will to win being down 10 at half and 5 with 21 seconds left in first OT. They look like they have arrived a year earlier than most thought.

No, Gilbert is set to graduate in May, and all sides see him moving on as the right move. With the way his health history is set up, his best bet is to go make some money playing while he can. The expectation is that they lose Vital and Gilbert, add Cole and Springs who are sitting out plus the ‘20s Jackson and Brown-Ferguson and then get at least one more commit in the Spring with Gilbert’s spot. Gaffney missed significant practice time with an ankle sprain in October. I hope some of his hesitancy, especially on defense, is due to that because he hasn’t looked great.

I guess UConn fans are frustrated with Vital and Gilbert (haven’t really found any I want to engage with), but they only have 10 scholarship players (academically ineligible, sit-out transfer, scholarship restriction). They’re going to need them all this season to do anything.

They also need Kenya back. He’s good for Dan.

Getting a win against one of LSU, Providence, or West Virginia on the road will go a long way with securing that. And then don’t do anything stupid.

Lots of land mines this season in conference.

The middle of the conference looks pretty decent compared to last season, at least at this point.

Will likely have several teams in that low 100's in NET. None will be easy games especially on the road.

We have to expect a couple of slipups. The key is to not lose to any of the bottom feeders. Here's looking at you Fordham.

Would love to win 2 out of the 3 Ace mentioned. If we do, then we are in great shape headed to January.

I think they beat LSU and Providence and lose at West Virginia. Getting out of the OOC schedule with only two losses would be awesome. Still this team can’t take any game for granted, so the home game against W. Kentucky or the road game at Middle Tennessee are not automatically wins, that’s for sure.
