As long as Fatts and Jeff are looking for it and making the passes, it should be all good.

Sheppard said since he's on the short side he's always had to take deep threes so the change doesn't bother him

A lot of pics being posted on Instagram of what I’m guessing was today’s practice. The guys look in great shape and like they’re having a lot of fun.

Toppin won the vertical leap competition.

Edit: Toppin hit the highest mark on the stick.
Fatts had the best vertical measured by the height you hit on the stick less your actual height. Fatts is approximately 10 inches shorter than Toppin.

I know the comparisons will be inevitable, but let him be Jacob.

Unrelated, I do not hate this return to shorter shorts that’s happening across basketball. Also, if the other guys aren’t roasting Dana everyday for what he’s doing with his, they are failing as teammates! :)

Do they do this every year?
I personally like it for the team building aspect, this team with the new additions needs to be compatible on and off the court so they can excel this year. Seems like fun while still being competitive.

I think Chase implemented it this year (first time). He talked about having a full offseason with the players this year. By the time he was hired last year and evaluated the players they were into the summer. I believe this was the competition to measure the results from the offseason training program.

Harris 6’9”
Cyril 6’8”
Toppin 6’8”

He said he was the 3rd tallest on the team. Both he and Cyril said Harris is the tallest - 1 inch taller than them.

Devale looks right up there in that 6'8 category.

You can tell by looking at them they are bigger, stronger, faster and more confident than last year.

that makes sense - toppin has some good hair which will also make him look an inch or two taller.

The battle I'm looking forward to is Cyril vs Nate Watson. Watson is going to be a problem for PC opponents this year.

He outweighs Cryil by 25 lbs and has 2 " on him. Will be interesting to see if Watson
can muscle Cryril around or if C can hold his own.

Gonna be a double-down shutdown! WooHoo!

So, I flipped my high-tech (paper, from Wolfrock Wine and Spirits) desk calendar over to October (and cheat-wrote the 30th in the empty square).
Now...the RIC game is and will be, daily, in sight. It's like waiting for pitchers and catchers to report....

I don’t think this game is relevant. Watson wasn’t even starting then. Young started and they split time.
No one for URI had a good game.

URI was down 27-39 at half. The closest they ever got was 7. They held PC to 20 points in the 2nd half but couldn’t score (23 points). I would say the 2nd half was a rock fight after PC handed it to Rhody in the 1st half.

I would not have any issues if they made Keaney the practice facility.

Spend a couple million upgrading the locker rooms and add other amenities found in stand alone practice facilities.....

Yeah I know everyone wants their own private spaces. I still think it could have been done.

Other sports teams use Keaney. I know the Women’s Volleyball team plays their matches in there.

Probably not very well.

Lamb plays out at the 3 pt line and can dribble in.

I dont think I've seen Cyril guard guys like that.

Maybe Tate or DJ would match up better.
