I read an article last week under a paid for recruiting service (can’t remember the name). It was an interview with Darius and Darius said he would be scheduling official visits soon.

I would have paid someone a lot of money if they could have figured out how to search on social media for Elijah Wood and Darius Miles without bringing up the actor and NBA Player the last few weeks.

Darius Miles drops in 247 rankings from 130 to 148 after he had a good Spring AAU.

Legget and Miles are both priority. We have Leggett coming on campus.

If in a positive result we landed leggett and miles with wood already committed. It would be interesting what kind of big man they would bring in. Would they then accept both and get a transfer big?

It will just be interesting to see the kind of impact woods early commitment has on the two priority guards and the kind of big they will then target.

Does Wood already committing put pressure on either leggett or miles to commit soon as to not be the one who missed out?

Re: ‘20 DC SG Darius Miles
Most say it is Leggett or Miles and not both. The theory is they need a '20 scholarship for a Big and the other open spot will be used on a transfer or late signing for this season.
The hope is the early commitment from Wood helps lead to another early signing. They tried that last year with Long and it didn't help get Anthony Walker.
Interestingly Leggitt is 6'2" and Miles is 6'7". I defer to the DMV guys as to whether Miles has the ballhandling skills to play SG.
The current roster has a lot of SFs.

Players try to visit during the downtime for AAU - which is roughly the next 4 weeks. The calendar has changed with the new rules so there are also some non-AAU camps where college coaches will flood during the new Evaluation Period. Coaches will not be on their campuses and recruits will be in the camps.
Quiet Period/On campus visits allowed - now until July 5th. Most of the weekends have camps.

For some reason Miles is the guy I would like more than any other in 2020.
Miles and Screen would be an outstanding use of the two scholarships.
Max Amadasun would be a good as well. Coach has a lot of solid options at PF on his list.
I wish we would hear more about OVs from a few bigs.

Re: ‘20 DC SG Darius Miles
I get it, but I can have an opinion, no?
83 jumped on me as well for saying I did not want three tiny guards on the 2020 roster.
I know you guys are tied in, but unless you want to be the only two posting, a little more tolerance is needed.
That, as well, is just my opinion.
It seems crazy that I am getting chastised for liking Darius Miles .... within the Darius Miles thread.

Huh??? You gave your opinion. DC_Rams gave his, along with, perhaps some inside knowledge. He wouldn't have written what he did unless you wrote what you did. Why the defensive post? We are all on the same team here.

Third guy in ... penalty box.
Pretty sure you read tone into my post that wasn't actually there.
I won't post for a while. And I certainly will never ever make the mistake of saying that I like a player we are recruiting inside his thread.
That seems to be the start of the problem.
Folks here are way too high strung for me. Peace.

Huh??? In no way was I trying to devalue your opinion man, just was informing you that your wish may not come to fruition. Leggett is top priority for the staff. Miles is as well, but not quite as much. I apologize if I came off as if I were trying to belittle, not my intention.rhodyblue12 wrote: ↑5 years ago Third guy in ... penalty box.

Re: ‘20 DC SG Darius Miles
DC Premier is not good. I believe they are missing their top player. Miles looks like the only D1 player on the team. He is taking a ton of shots because no one else has an offensive game. He has hit 3 threes so far in the first half. They are going to lose by a big margin. UAA is a big drop off from Nike EYBL and Adidas. 33-25 at half. Surprised it is that close. I believe Miles has 13 points.

Re: ‘20 DC SG Darius Miles
Miles can shoot. He hit SEVEN threes. I believe he scored 27 or 29 points. DCP was 18 after 3rd but made a run to lose by 9 I think.
Miles played all but the last minute of the game when he cramped up.

Re: ‘20 DC SG Darius Miles
He said he was going to start taking his OVs in Sept/Oct.
Xavier (in Cincy) has offered. He could be taking an unofficial there.
His projected OVs are GTown, URI, Seton Hall and Xavier.
Edit: Xavier recently received verbal commitments from two SG/SF (6’5” & 6’6”) players in the ‘20 class. Both are rated above Miles.
In addition they have Bishop as a Fr at the same position as Miles. He isn’t going there.

Just to add to that “not going to Xavier” list. They received a commitment from a PG for ‘20 that is ranked #55, have a Fr CG that was ranked #89 and a transfer PG that is a Soph.

Surprised a DMV player went to Texas for his Sr year. I realize DMV players do transfer their Sr year - typically somewhere closer or to a NEPSAC school.
