Is it now completely out of the realm of possibility that we couldn't land this kid, or others like him, with the Hurley's at the helm?

Re: Higher Level Local Recruiting
Somewhat related, but this article about Hurley recruiting Dwaun Anderson was just in the Staten Island paper. As some of you know, Anderson was a former Mr Basketball in Michigan and a 4 star/Rivals, 3 star/ESPN recruit that Hurley got to Wagner. Impressive, to say the least.

From the article:
Anderson was still being pursued by Big East schools like Rutgers and Villanova, after all. But he took a visit. And super-salesman Dan Hurley drew Anderson in.
“He was funny and down-to-earth, and the guys all said how much they loved playing for him,” said Anderson of the then Wagner coach. Anderson also felt embraced by the team as a whole, from coaches to players to support staff. It felt like, well, “family,” he said.

I know Preston was watching his son play football yesterday in a championship game. Does his family live here or are they back in Michigan? I wonder if that's where he was.rodfromcranston wrote:Preston is once more flying somewhere or coming back from somewhere.

Coaches' lives are crazy- always something/body to scout, recruit, watch.
