VCU 8th seed
Finished NET 34
25-7, 16-2 Conference

SLU could be a dangerous team, playing well to win 4 games in 4 days. Showed no signs of being tired vs St Bonaventure

I would like to see a list of the seeds for both the NCAA and NIT with their respective NET ranking next to them to see how the new rankings played out. If anyone sees such a list, please post the link.

The NET rating didn't seem to be a big determining factor for those right on the cut line.

Which probably was a good thing....many other factors were considered.

That does give some hope for mid majors going forward.

Was glad to see NC State left out. They got what they deserved playing such a ridiculous OOC schedule.

If the committee has been consistent on any punishment, it is don’t play a cupcake sos if you are big conference team and expect to be rewarded when you do mediocre when you play in conference

Also happy to see NC State being left out with that crap OOC

NET wasn’t that big of a determine factor as St John’s got in with a NET of 73 and there were a couple teams in the 30s who got left out

The problem with the NET is that the committee does factor in injuries. If you get blown out in a few games without key players, it could heavily impact your NET.

That said, I would say someone like Belmont got the nudge because of their NET. I was glad to see them included I thought their resume was solid and their NET supporter that.
