What’s hilarious is I wore a black and white shirt to work today and I’m like.... WTF why did I wear Pee Cee colors today on a game day.

Well the refs were bad for both sides.
St. Joes just couldn't miss from the line. We shot them well too until the end.....

I think Fatts did miss that on purpose. it is absolutely the right thing to do. He was saying something to the other kids before shooting it.

We are REALLY banged up. Playing 6 guys and even all of them aren't all healthy.
Good thing there's some time between UMass and the Thursday game.

Re: 3/5 | Saint Joseph’s | 7:00PM (CBSSN)
My hands are shaking I'm so excited! I only have one working finger ! Unreal performance by Russell and Dowtin.
What a finish to the season we are seeing . Please make my hope for four in a row to end the season a reality on
Saturday against UMASS . If they can win Saturday I don't think any team will want to see them in Brooklyn .
They have made believers of Dayton and St. Joes . Now only UMASS stands in the way of a winning season.
They are hot, have to stay hot going into Brooklyn and then maybe our hope of another NCAA Tournament appearance
may still be possible. Now I have to go calm down.

Also, NOBODY can say the refs favored St Joes tonight blah blah blah.
There were missed calls tonight like every other game in America this season.

Not picking on Fatts. Obviously, we would not have won without him. But to miss all those free throws and still win? I think he was saying "no over the back" fouls. If so, then I def. agree that he missed it on purpose.

Interesting game. Fatts appears to be coming out of his slump in a big way. In my mind, he proved he could shoot well last year, but just seemed like he was going through a huge slump for most of this year. Good to see this team fighting and grinding out wins "away" none the less.

Anybody see Thompson as the last shot missed. No emotion at all. One would think we won by 20 points.
I just do not understand him at all.
He jogs up the court on offense and barely moves off the court when he is taken out of the game. Tries to be Mr Cool. I cannot figure this kid out.

Re: 3/5 | Saint Joseph’s | 7:00PM (CBSSN)
So happy for Fatts dropping 40 points and grabbing a W in front of friends, family, and some local legends (Jameer and Delonte).
It’s been a hard year for him...to go from a spark plug off the bench to a starring role isn’t easy and it clearly dragged him down. He’s all about confidence and I’d be lying if i didn’t envision many scenarios where he’d be elsewhere for his remaining 2 years after some lackluster performances and a couple bad losses.
This, at a minimum, is a friendly reminder of how much talent he has and what he’s capable of next year. If he rides this hot streak we have a shot against VCU in the tournament...never say never.

With this, the next 2 games have the ability to greatly change how all of us view this season.
Huge credit to Fatts - what a hell of a game by him, more impressively what a week+.
We all doubted him (rightfully in many instances) but credit to his balls and credit to Cox for sticking with him through all of this.
It’s clear if we are going anywhere it will be on Fatts shoulders. I’m so happy for the kid that he put on this show in his hometown.
Legendary game. If you believe in the law of averages than he has a few more of these to get his 3 point average up to what we could’ve expected.

It’s not everything but when you get a couple of chances to ice the game and fail, it’s not good. Scoring the last 20 in a row was amazing.
I bet that's an all time record for URI.
Notice when he shoots the 3 now, how he's squared up to the hoop and has good form.
Yeah he missed the FT's, but I think what he did do had something to do with us winning the game?

Re: 3/5 | Saint Joseph’s | 7:00PM (CBSSN)
Some great quotes by (and about) Fatts!
JD on Fatts -- 'When he’s got it going – three, four in a row – I’ve got that smile on my face. You’ve got to feed him the ball. I’ve got to find different ways to get him open so he can keep this going.'
JD on Fatts -- 'Look, that kid stays in the gym 24/7. He’s a hell of a basketball player. He needed this game right here. He’s been working his (backside) off. I’m just happy for him.'
Coach Cox on Fatts --- 'Go to him. Ride him until the wheels fall off. And I thought him and Jeff had a great balance tonight. When Jeff was kind of hot Fatts took a back seat, and then same thing. I thought they both played a great game together.'
Fatts -- 'It’s an amazing feeling. Obviously I’ve been struggling this year, and I never got down on myself. This coaching staff constantly believes in me.'
Fatts --- 'Coach Cox told us three games ago he wanted us to get momentum going into the Atlantic 10 tournament. He said if we win three in a row we’ll be one of the hottest teams going into the Atlantic 10 tournament. That’s what we came out and tried to do.'
Fatts --- 'If I see the first one go in clean then I know it’s going to be a long night for the opposing team.'

Re: 3/5 | Saint Joseph’s | 7:00PM (CBSSN)
How many times in Fatts’ career has he gone to the line after playing 42 minutes in an absolute war of a game, one in which he carried legitimately half the scoring load for the whole team? Yes, it would have been great for him to make them, but if he was gassed and his legs were a little rubbery, I can understand that. I think the kid did enough. Anyone chirping him here about those FTs is missing the boat (not saying you were, rambone).rambone 78 wrote: ↑5 years ago Scoring the last 20 in a row was amazing.

Re: 3/5 | Saint Joseph’s | 7:00PM (CBSSN)
Interesting stats: In the first 25 games of season, Fatts put in total of 22 three pointers, in the last four games he has put in 15. This is 15-33, a blistering 45% shooting. Simply an amazing turnaround!! Kudos to him.
