If Preston wasn’t suspended (and I think he should be) the negative people on the Board would be all over Cox for being weak and losing the team. The post I read above seem surprised of the suspension or think it is excessive punishment. As TP stated saying it’s being handled internally and then announcing the suspension today isn’t inconsistent. There was no need to announce it publicly before today. Speculation would be flying around when Preston wasn’t on the bench today if nothing was announced. The team didn’t need the public distraction during the week.

Agreed, the timing seems weird to after saying it had been handled in house earlier in the week. Almost like something else happened after the tweet.
I haven’t followed it that closely during the week...did they say he definitely wasn’t suspended earlier, or did they just say it was being handled internally? Because if it’s the former then safe bet something else happened; if it’s the latter then not clear that the two things are inconsistent.

No, they never said he definitely wasn't suspended, the report was "declined comment, confirmed it was being handled internally". I took that to mean it had been handled already and that was it. Could be they just waited to announce it.

My tickets are being used, but I didn’t make the trip today. If the team is making the effort on the court, I’ll make the effort to get down there from Boston, but I can’t justify moving my family’s schedule all around to watch what I watched last week. If I lived near campus it might be a different story. I hope they end up getting a decent crowd - we are never an early arriving crowd so hope it fills up a bit yet.

Are the rims like extra mic'd up today or something? Every missed shot (and there have been a lot) has the loudest clang sound I have ever heard.

The offense isn’t taking bad shots, they are just not falling, per usual. Still loving the intensity of defense. Have to score to compliment it.

I had to rewind that and rewatch it 3 times during commercials. I still have no idea how the ref saw that as a charge?!?!? And he was standing 2 feet away from the play looking right at it. Like he made up his mind he was calling it before CL even started driving toward the hoop.

We are really hard to watch right now

The defense is trying hard but breaks down at the end of shot clock

Offense is pretty bad except when Fatts drives then dishes we need more of that

Finally showed some life and looked like we could go into half with a little momentum and a nice little lead, and give up an 8-2 run and go in down three. This team does not have any grasp of the mental part of the game, and absolutely zero killer instinct. You get this terrible team finally against the ropes and you have to knock them out; instead we let them battle back off the ropes and put us on our heals.

If they aren’t going to get it for this game, they aren’t getting it this season. They were embarrassed last week on their home court by a team they should be on equal footing with, have a week off to think about it and get it together and make one last stand before the season goes down the toilet, and we come out with this completely flat and uninspired effort. Turn off the lights. This team is done.

The way they just walked out from the halftime back onto the court was terrible. No energy, no enthusiam, all of them with their head down it is clear they don’t want to be here today.

All three Harris foul calls were correct. He just needs to learn how to play. And Langevine cannot just lower his shoulder and bull into people of course he’s gonna get called with the charge
