I love that this is happening the year the committee went with the rigged Quadrant system.

UVa had their St Joe's Senior night game yesterday. Rhody fortunately had its inexplicable game result some 2.5 weeks ago. Rather it was then and not now.

PC fans have really lorded their membership in the Big East over URI for decades now. They have argued it put them at a level far above Rhody. The amusing reality is however that URI has the same number of NCAA wins (8) as PC since the Friars joined the original Big East back in 1979. Rhode Island could actually move ahead of them with a win today.

Me 3. They are doing fine against Villanova. Only down 5 at the half and it is usually closer than that.ramfan85 wrote:Me too. I guess Villanova was only shooting 33 percent in the first half. Now their baskets are going in and they are getting 80 percent in.

In one respect, Villanova is similar to the Rams. They have a lot of guys who can step up and make baskets. Alabama seems to only have one player trying to do everything.

Yeah it sucked playing Duke, but we could have avoided it. If this team didn't lose to St Joes by 30 at home and then blow a late lead at Davidson we aren't playing ANY 1 or 2 seeds in the second round. Take care of business and avoid the "bad luck of the draw"ram1980 wrote:Watching this Purdue butler game only makes me wish more we had been put in this bracket.. Bad luck of the draw.. Keep in mind Purdue is missing 7'2 stud center Isaac Haas to go along with 7'3 Haarms. The two Edwards can play too.ram1980 wrote:Watching this Purdue butler game only makes me wish more we had been put in this bracket.. Bad luck of the draw.. Too bad we matched up much better with these teams

I still think Duke was the worst possible matchup for us out of all the 1s and 2s. Thought that since the bracket was unveiled.

there is a big gap in skill and athleticism between a Carter/Bagley duo and a Haas/Haarms duoBos8 wrote:Keep in mind Purdue is missing 7'2 stud center Isaac Haas to go along with 7'3 Haarms. Great time in Pittsburgh...drove down and back with some great fans. Thursday was a blast and the pre-gamers on Thursday and Saturday were awesome. Saturday roof-floor party in particular was a top-notch production. Great to see so many traveling fans, need to make these a regular thing. Gotta ante up, I guess, to get that 'lower bowl' seating next year.

Syracuse could gain the whole thing. But they still didn’t deserve a bid.

Not that I care about Syracuse one bit but who do you think deserved to get in ahead of them ? I personally thought it was a very soft bubble and any team left out probably had a lot of warts themselves.steviep123 wrote:Syracuse could gain the whole thing. But they still didn’t deserve a bid.

Re: 2018 NCAA Tournament Talk
Epic loss by Cincinnati to Nevada. AAC once again fails to distinguish itself much in the tournament. Same number of teams, wins, and units as the A-10 this year despite its teams having better seeds. Since its inception, the AAC trails the A-10 in the number of teams sent (15 vs 18) to the NCAA and in units earned (27 vs 29). If not for the 2014 championship won by UConn, the AAC would be really far behind the A-10.

Welp the fix is in, Kansas State will win but UMBC deserved this more. Some ridiculous non-calls on the Big 12 princesses down the stretch.
