That would be a Sunday. That would be decent as a weekend date is needed for good attendance to get a pseudo home court advantage. Only disadvantage is that it would be up against NFL games (possibly the the Pats) which is not ideal. Still, a Sunday is much better than a weeknight.
I think prices did change(went up) and it seems like they would have less games at the Ryan Center. The game at Mohegan is an add-on and not part of package/

Also allows Mohegan to hedge and ensure a good gate. In the unlikely event URI can't move enough tickets, the date would allow for a number of WVU fans to travel in and make a weekend of it at the casino. I'm sure there will be a decent contingent of opposing fans regardless.

I don't know if this has been updated but there must be more OOC games to come. This would only give us 10 and I believe there will be 12 if we are filling the schedule (this year we had 11 and were 1 short). Also isn't Brown home only now? I am trying to determine how many home games next year. Someone mentioned in a post above that the season ticket prices went up but that would depend on the # of home games. I am assuming if they put out the renewal and full price, the Athletic Dept knows the number of home games and maybe that the schedule is already complete.
With four away games already scheduled, plus the tournament and the WVU game, the remaining games will likely be at home. They are so far ahead in scheduling than they’ve ever been in the last few years, with 10 already in place. With a young team- particularly the bench- it might not be the worst thing to add some easier games on the schedule.

Are they still doing the oyster bar gift card promo?

That is 10 OOC games plus 18 A10 games for a total of 28. What is the max and will we be adding more games? Apparently St. Mary's is finally smartening up and looking for a home and home with someone. Perhaps we can play them on the way to Hawaii?

I think the remainder of the games are going to be home games vs small conference opponents. The OOC schedule is already strong for a young team, so I think we're looking at games that can build confidence for the team to fill out the remainder of the schedule.

I don't have a problem with it. Gives us experience on the road without having to go far. Plus it pisses me off when PC fans question why they have to go to "lowly URI", so I can't be a hypocrite about it.

We get a home game at the Ryan Center in return for no cost.
When the Ryan Center first opened, URI initially only played Brown there. As the going rate for buy games increased, the school began to play Brown home and away. It is an easy trip to the Pizzatola Center, gets more RPI weight as a road game, and gets a sizable Rhody fan contingent.
I would like to get the away Brown game back to the years when URI hosts PC. One trip to Providence each season. The Hall of Fame Tournament messed up that long standing practice when they had Brown in the field and had them play URI in an early round game. If the Brown series is up, I wonder if URI will try to get Brown to visit Kingston first to get things back to how they were.

Agree but we’re not so “young” competitively.
2 seniors who either watched this team be a championship contender as a red shirt or contributed last season.
2 junior team leaders who many would say are poised to be the best (point guard) or 2/3rd best (forward) in the conference. Both with 2 years of big game experience, and playing Big on those stages.
1 sophomore who may be the most confident player to ever walk though these doors, who played with/against the NPOY on the biggest stage possible last year.
I don’t know that this team will need coddling to build confidence. Those guys will show this incoming class how it’s done.
If you say you’re a Rhody fan, I know you are my brother. For you have suffered as I have suffered.

This is fair, I was thinking more in the sense of letting the freshman get their feet wet

Northeastern has had a decent RPI in most recent years. Would think it a possibility. Perhaps even BC with a URI grad at the helm might be something to look into (no more 2-1 though).

Had a stretch there with BC when Al was there alternating home and away. I wouldn't be surprised if they announced a home and home now that Christian has them back on their feet. Likely a tournament team next year and you would think he wouldn't have an issue with coming back to URI. And they would probably want some nice road games for their RPI.
