Jermaine, Kingston , Ri is an hour closer to home than Cincinnati,Oh. and Rhode Island is much nicer too. There are no beaches in Ohio and let's face it not much of anything else either. and that extra hour of driving time won't be fun for friends and family. Tell me, do you really want to spend four years or more in Ohio ? I think not. Couldn't wait to get out of Ohio myself. Eight and a half hours to Cincinnati and what a lousy drive it is. Cincinnati ? Seriously ? No, I'm sure you are too smart to get conned into becoming a Mouseketeer.

just show him how often URI is the local smokeshow of the day on Barstool and combine that with beaches...luke wrote:Jermaine, Kingston , Ri is an hour closer to home than Cincinnati,Oh. and Rhode Island is much nicer too. If Brendan Adams would verbal today, or tomorrow at the latest, it would give us big momentum going into Jermaine's Friday decision.

From the looks of it, it seems both Xavier and rhody feel they’ve got Harris. But maybe they’re just being supportive.

Jermaine just followed Dan on twitter! I think that's big. He still hasn't followed Mack even though Mack followed him a few days ago.

But we know he’s no longer considering them. He hasn’t followed anyone from XU, that has to be deliberate. Especially considering less than 48 hours from announcing he follows Dan Hurley and Ty Boswell....very positive sign.Rhody74 wrote:He's still following Bob Huggins and a few other WVU folks.

Nobody seems to be confirming he's coming here based on him following Dan and Ty, just seems like people take it as a good sign, nothing more nothing less.Blue Man wrote:It is WILD trying to watch people confirm or deny the future actions of an 18 year old based on likes and follows on social media. Right. Is he absolutely coming here because he followed Dan on twitter? No. Is it a bad thing that he followed Dan on twitter about 40 hours before his announcement? Once again, I'd say no.Rhody15 wrote:Nobody seems to be confirming he's coming here based on him following Dan and Ty, just seems like people take it as a good sign, nothing more nothing less.Blue Man wrote:It is WILD trying to watch people confirm or deny the future actions of an 18 year old based on likes and follows on social media. I get what youre saying, but the timing in this case is why there is such an optimism boost, not just that he followed Dan. Just seems illogical you'd bother following a coach your going to turn down in 2 days is all.Blue Man wrote:It is WILD trying to watch people confirm or deny the future actions of an 18 year old based on likes and follows on social media. Re: '18 MD PF Jermaine Harris (Offer)
I get it - but if you use twitter you may just follow people that you thought you were following but weren't when you see them like something of yours or whatever.
He also followed chocolate latina, princess camrynn, khryssss, and WhiteGirl. - so, maybe he's going to play for team big booty bitches and blow both us and Xavier off?
Look, I get it - everyone is looking for any sign of hope right now, it's just hilarious trying to watch everyone read the tea leaves via twitter follows and likes. Half of the shit everyone likes on twitter is done half asleep or in the john, and then usually forgot about immediately after. There is no rhyme or reason to social media interaction. If/when we do sign Jermaine, it won't be because of our coaches' twitter game.

Re: '18 MD PF Jermaine Harris (Offer)
Just rewatched some of his tape. He looks to me like more of a bruiser down low and less explosive than Hassan. I've read that he can stretch outside a bit, but I haven't seen tape that shows that. Measuring at a legitimate 6'9 and considered a "late bloomer" I'd love to see what Hurley can do with him. Has anyone seen him play that can comment on what type of player he is?

I hear you, but when you consciously follow a head coach before a commitment and don’t even bother to check if you’re following the other just doesn’t make sense. You’re right it could mean absolutely nothing, or it could be calculated.Blue Man wrote:I get it - but if you use twitter you may just follow people that you thought you were following but weren't when you see them like something of yours or whatever.

He’s not Hassan, not as silky around the rim. He’s more of a banger, bruiser. He will bully you for a rebound repeatedly until he either comes down with it on defense or scores it on offense. Bottom line, if he’s around the basket, he will find away to put points on the board.Section104 wrote:Just rewatched some of his tape. I've envisioned a taller Langevine, which I think is very complimentary and great for our team. Although, I do think Langevine has some good offense that will continue to grow.Section104 wrote:Just rewatched some of his tape. Re: '18 MD PF Jermaine Harris (Offer)
Or it could be one data point among many, many data points. Probably the right way to look at it is one more small sign that we MAY be in good shape, but obviously not dispositive of anything. At least that is how I'm looking at it. Without trying to put too much stock into something that may have happened half asleep or sitting on the can, I think it makes sense to read a twitter follow of the HC at this point as a likely sign that we have not been eliminated.DC_Rams wrote:I hear you, but when you consciously follow a head coach before a commitment and don’t even bother to check if you’re following the other just doesn’t make sense.
