Re: Mike Laprey
This one has been percolating for a little while. Will definitely be a big loss. Mike has done a great job at URI.

Really sad to see him go. It was always nice to have someone who would engage with us here.

Best of luck, Mike. Great all-sports opportunity in the ACC (hockey + others).

Re: Mike Laprey
I will miss Mike. He was always willing to help anytime I had a special request.
More importantly, I know he worked his ass off for this program.
While I don't know Mike well enough to know his motivation for the move, I know he has a young child and I remember how much having a young child motivated me to get that money. I hope he is getting some ACC type cash!
Good luck to you and your family, Mike!

Daryl Jasper also left URI this summer for a promotion with Learfield Sports.

Happy for Mike but this is a significant loss to the program and department. Mike went above and beyond.

Even as we climb the ladder of success, we're going to lose people.

Re: Mike Laprey
Did Laprey and his family already live in Boston? The BC press release reports it as their home. I would not have thought someone that just gave notice could get resettled that fast.

Ironically enough Mike & his family have been Providence residents to my knowledge in the Elmhurst area near that crappy black and white catholic schoolRF1 wrote:Did Laprey and his family already live in Boston?
