Re: Rhody and A10 in the Top 25 Polls: 2016-17
CollegePollTracker allows us to more graphically track Rhody's progress in the AP poll as well as vote on the submissions of the journalists submitting their Top 25 rankings.
http://www.collegepolltracker.com/baske ... m/uri/2016
Keep in mind it takes a few hours for CollegePollTracker to get all the data from the AP to enable all their features. Some of the individual Top 25 lists from various media members can be "missing" for a little while.

Am I reading the poll information on collegepolltracker.com correctly?
Cormac Gordon had us ranked #14 in the country in the pre-season ranking, but now does not have us ranked after the win vs Dartmouth?

As ATP pointed out, it takes some time to get each individual ballot. His Week 2 Ballot is currently "Incomplete". I'm sure he had us in somewhere.Shaolin Swat wrote:Am I reading the poll information on collegepolltracker.com correctly?

He is also the only pollster to not rank St. Mary's, who came in at #17. Gaels play at Dayton on Saturday. That's gonna be a hell of a game.

Kmac thinks the Big East is a "Power Conference" and wants that "Power Conference" bias to help pick PC up to national relevance. If St Mary's played in the new big east he would have them ranked around 14 right now.

Can't fault him for pegging Dayton ahead of us, until we earn the spot. But you can fault AP for giving him a right to vote when he knows very little about basketball played outside the BE.

I could argue that Dayton should earn their spot just as much or more than URI should.
Last week URI had 26 voters not have them in their individual Top 25. This week URI has only 16 not voting them into the Top 25 - Kevin still did not vote us in but no matter. We don't need his jinx talent.

And if we do win, I'm sure McNamara will point out that Duke was "thin". Even if 4 players sit out, they're still loaded, just not as deep. So, it would still be an epic win.

I'm really interested to see what Mac put in front of us. Last week he had Dayton, Texas A&M, and San Diego State in-front of us and they all lost. Granted SDU lost to Gonzaga but it wasn't even really competitive. It would be shameful to have any of those three teams in front of us at this point.

We should be about where we were last week....you never know though.
With us, it won't take much to drop us out.....if we were a P5 school we would be fine....just the way it is
To stay ranked, we will likely have to go 11-1 OOC.....doable, but not likely imo.....
Wonder where Lunardi will have us in his Wackytology......

Re: Rhody and A10 in the Top 25 Polls: 2016-17
We shouldn't drop a spot. If anything we'd go up because voters like Kmac who were using the "wait and see" approach to our ranking got the justification for the hype and are now including us. We beat a team that was ranked, albeit lower than us, and we lost to the #1 team in the country. Certainly didn't get blown out, didn't necessarily make it "close" but we are probably exactly where we should be. If we moved more than a spot in either direction I'd be shocked.
