54.5% free throw shooter. He'd fit right in.
Seriously, he's a good rebounder and inside player.
Doesn't run all that well.
We could do worse for a 5th year big.
Not sure about the limited coaching. Mike Martin is
a pretty good coach.
Cedric Kuakumensah would be the one guy I'd love to have from Brown.
He's the real deal.

Oh I've played against those guys. I was surprised with him putting it on the deck. And friendly.

I don't think he is on the level of some of our best guys we have had. I don't know how to explain that, but I have been out of my league against some URI players in the past and against Maia I was just surprised at his ability to stretch the court and his friendliness.

We need two bigs. One who's good enough to start or
play significant minutes.
The PG can happen in the 2016 recruiting cycle.
I wonder if Stering Gibbs is staying or leaving SHU?
FWIW, I was told we were not looking at perimeter players.

Javion Ogunyemi Forward Siena is someone I'm hoping we take a look at.

Will have to sit out a year. 6 8 skilled big man. Averaged nearly 10 a game this year.

And yesterday, one of their starters (Pitchford) just decided to stop playing basketball. Nebraska's a bit of a mess.

There has to be word of someone leaving our program soon. Otherwise we can't sign anyone else. The signing period for high schoolers, if we're getting any, starts in 12 days.

Anywhere he can be the main point guard is where he wants to go.

True, but the inference of the post is that the transfer pool is growing on a daily basis with players better than McGlynn IV, who would also fit the position assignment at URI. Then again, if you like the "A bird in hand is….."

Position assignment? Maybe. Projected minutes allocation? Your pool just shrunk significantly.

A guy like Drexel's Damion Lee, for example, has reportedly been contacted by over 75 schools. He's not going anywhere to come off the bench.

You named a Drexel man, not me, who is a scorer who courts much attention. Don't hand me "PMA." McGlynn IV's "PMA" shrank immediately when he agreed to attend/play for URI. How is he going to deal with that? He wasn't a guaranteed starter at Vermont nor was he at Towson State. His competition as shooting guard -- even off of the bench is substantial.

"Caveat emptor!"
According to Coach Hurley playing time is earned at practice. What if McGlynn IV can't hit his threes there? What if McGlynn IV is outplayed by -- goodness, gracious, he who was allowed to stay, Matthew Butler or the like? What if having McGlynn IV on the court is a DEFENSIVE LIABILITY?????? That's where it all begins at URI.
There is no Designated Shooter except for technicals or filling-in for a foul shooter who is incapable of completing the act because of injury.
Hey, sacrilege on this board -- I hope that he's as good as and effective as Joey Hassett was as a freshman coming off of the bench for PC. Same "Position Assignment" as McGlynn IV: Open up the floor, get your looks, and make them. If you ever get to the foul line, make them at better than 80%.

There's a ton of bigs on this list, but how good are they?
As for PGs, Trey Dickerson is a juco who we recruited back
during Dan's first year.
Could step in right away.

Says that he wants to play PG full time -- GW has a 4 year starter Joe McDonald at PG, Savage wouldnt get many minutes there. Likely its at least an indication that Savage doesnt think much of GWs prospects for next season, he's going for his and thinking about his professional goals.

Savage was not the same after returning from his injury.
His role changed to coming off the bench last 10 games.
He wants to play PG so Lonergan gave him his full release so he could find a school where he could play PG
From their message board sounds like there was dissension in the ranks as well according to some comments.

Maybe URI was. St. John's/Mullin is in the same position as URI/Coach Hurley three years ago; they need bodies. Owens hardly played, hardly did anything…..He should have to sit the year.
I deduce that Coach Hurley, with all of the positive publicity as of late, can do better and/or are involved with better recruits for 2016…...

Agree. I saw Owens play in two games this year.
He literally did nothing in both games, and he played
a lot in one of them.
