What is Wrong with URI Athletics??

Just wondering - how many of the a-10 BB schools also have and are supporting NCAA football and what division and conference are they in.

Ok,so Dayton is more attractive (say east of miss. River) to HS recruits because they have better fans and alumni support ?? Let's dig a little deeper into that,since this is across the board issue with athletics,football is easy target,I played there,donate,fund raise and go to one game a year,somebody tell me the answers to these:

1. SADC looks great according to alums not afraid to be critical,better than some D1 programs. This was raised mainly (entirely?) by fund raising,whose $$ supported this? PC or UCONN alums?

2. FB games I have personally attended for some bad teams last few years have 6-8K in attendance!! Giving the benefit of doubt to this board that no students,residents of RI or alums support the teams,who exactly are the people in the stands? Brown or Bryant supporters? There actually was a article written on Internet site stating all the options other than going to URI FB games. URI out draws some teams in playoff games!!

Let's face it, there is nothing better in college sports than tailgating and attending a football game on a nice fall day. You have the band, hopefully Ramettes some day. If you can put a good product on the field attendance will go over 10K. There was a buzz when Rizzi came in, it shows people can be interested in Rhody football.

To answer rhodyrob on which A-10 members play football. The answer is the addition of Davidson to the A-10 in 2014-15 season brings the number of football playing members to seven. They are URI and Richmond in the CAA, Duquesne in the NEC, Fordham in the Patriot, UMass (FBS) in the MAC, Dayton and Davidson in the Pioneer .
