The NCAA's lone independent school, the New Jersey Institute of Technology, will be joining the Atlantic Sun conference. The press conference is scheduled for today. I'd assume this will be effective immediately.

They really seem better long term suited for the NEC or AE. NJIT however doesn't sponsor enough conference sports for those leagues liking right now. They are especially lacking in women's sports which makes sense for a predominately male engineering/tech school. Their facilities also need upgrading. They are apparently going to build a new hoops venue.
