If he's in the middle of negotiations, no way. He's the coach until he isn't. SOP until then.

Could be good news on him staying.

Or if he's seriously considering an offer, it's going to take a while to talk with family, URI, and his players.

It's hard to see him replying to questions tonight by saying "no comment" over and over, though.

So my guess now is, he's staying.

Well in fairness they could work it out with Steve and Don that they aren't allowed to ask questions regarding Rutgers. They're not exactly there as hard hitting journalists, as employees of the program they're far closer to PR.

It will be an awkward situation, to say the least, unless he announces he's staying.

Oh yeah, I'm sure he would be mobbed by people when he was coming in or leaving, but I'm sure if he was dead set against answering they could have someone there to escort him in and out and not having that come up on the radio would be even easier to accomplish. The only way the Rutgers job even gets asked about tonight is if Hurley wants to announce he's staying.

The other night, a reporter asked him and Dan said "I'm not going to comment on stuff that's out there on social media", or something like that. He could make an opening statement saying something similar, and then continue on with the show.

What would be the purpose having a show this week and another one next week? The season is over....there won't be any games between now and then that need to be discussed. The post-mortem on the season will be tonight.
