Outstanding! Much more depth in our backcourt. Now if we get some news about Big O...

Good! Powell and X need a backup.
TJ plays defense, which suits the Hurley plan.

Can't wait for this season to star (officially). Friday will be a good test. I don't expect the NCAA to act quickly on Big O. After all, we're not in the big (l)east. That would just be a bonus. But, at worst, we've got a lot to look forward to for next year.

Norfolk State's best player is Pendarvis Williams, who is a big guard at 6"6". He's a 1st team pre-season all conference selection. I am wondering who will draw the assignment to check him. I can definitely see TJ hounding this kid so it'll be good to have him back. I imagine Munford would be checking Williams to start the game.

Has anyone come across a Norfolk St message board? Would be intersting to see what teams are saying about us

I didn't see Munford as being physical versus CG.

Other than a 7-footer who has only played 3 minutes per game in his first two years, they max out at 6'8" in terms of height, so hopefully this is a game we can win with our guard play.

EDIT: I take that back, looks like he will be starting, and be backed up by another 7 footer.

It would be a great start to the Hurley Era - a win over a team that won a game in the Dance last year.

Here's one: http://beholdnsu.proboards.com/index.cg ... discussion

There's not much basketball chatter there yet, as it seems primarily focused on Football.

Half their roster and their coach are from New York, last year's best player who was drafted was from New York too.

Always nice to hear a coach publicly say good things about a player

I coached Robby Johnson for 3 years (6-8grade) for his HS feeder team and hope he scores 20 but we crush them!! He is a great kid.

That's fine, let's just win 84-20 then! :D

I'd take 21-20. Let's bring back the four corners :)
